Great place to stay while visiting Charleston.

  • 4 of 5

We have a family of 5 and our kids are 24, 21 & 17. This place was great because everybody could sleep in their own bed. The king was upstairs with a bathroom. The queen and two twins were downstairs with a shared bathroom. It was nice because the upstairs heater was independent from the downstairs. I kept the upstairs heater off most of the time we were there and it was great. When I asked Jill for the crank for the windows, she directed me as to where to find them. We always sleep with the window opened a crack regardless of temperature for a quick cool down, if necessary. :)

I really liked how clean the house was. I didn't feel like anything was overlooked cleaningwise. Well, the toaster oven has seen better days, but it sure worked like a charm.

There were basic spices provide but not much else. Plenty of utensils, plates, bowls, towels, TP and paper towels. No sample shower soaps, shampoo or conditioner in the showers. Fortunately, we came prepared.

Location was very convenient. We knew we weren't planning on spending everyday in downtown Charleston and would be heading to places on the perimeter, so this worked out well. Plus, Mt. Pleasant is a cute place on its own.

The only negative we experienced was that all five of us couldn't shower in the morning without running out of hot water. We really had to be aware of turning water off while soaking up to conserve the hot and that still left one of us with a cold shower. Two of us would have to shower the night before to combat this issue, and the third person in the morning would still suffer a tepid shower, hence the 4 stars.

Thanks, Jill, for a great place to stay! We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the review. I’m glad to hear the house suited your family well. I agree that the two HVAC units are a bonus. The water heater will be turned up in short order, it is fairly new and needs to be calibrated.

Quiet & cozy

  • 4 of 5

We attended a family wedding during Christmas week in Charleston and stayed at the house in Mount Pleasant. The house was comfortable for the six of us and the neighborhood was quiet. The location was perfect for attending several events related to the wedding and for sightseeing.

Jill was quick to respond to questions prior to our arrival and also after we arrived and had a concern.

Perfect Location for a weekend away

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I (5 in total) were looking for a relaxing place to stay and get away from the hassles of everyday life. This house fit the bill, it has a clean and inviting feeling. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to so many fun things to do and places to eat. Some of us walked around the neighborhood exploring the area while others stayed behind to chill out. The neighbors were friendly. We can't wait to stay here again and hope to make it a longer trip next time!

Cute, Clean & Very Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The first part of our trip was near Augusta to attend the Masters practice rounds. We figured it was the perfect opportunity for a first time visit to Charleston and chose this lovely home in Mt Pleasant. It was perfect from the moment we arrived. There was enough space for friends traveling together to spread out in the 3 bedrooms, and then gather in the living room, kitchen or porch for quality time. My sweetie and I rode the bikes provided and everyone in the neighborhood was friendly. Location was close to everything we wanted to see, in fact hardly used any gas in the rental car. Thanks again Jill for your hospitality... we definitely enjoyed our vacation and didn't have to worry about a thing!
