This cabin was just as nice as the pictures we had viewed on VRBO. It was charming and rustic.
Our fall stay at Morningside was everything we had hoped it would be. The cabin was very comfortable, charming, and decorated nicely. We had everything we needed at our disposal. The owners live next door, and they provided firewood and extra quilts for us to use on the unusually cold mornings of our stay in late October. They were there to answer any questions we had. They could not have been any more accommodating. It was a perfect spot to watch the sun coming up over Lake Sebago in the morning as well as viewing the reflection of the beautifully colored leaves on the water. Morningside was the perfect base for us as we visited many beautiful attractions in Maine and New Hampshire. We enjoyed seeing wild turkeys roaming behind the cabin as well as deer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Morningside, and we would like to return another time to see this area in the summer.
We absolutely loved our time at Morningside- Adele was extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with, yet gave us the privacy we needed. The house is quaint and charming. The view of the lake is just breathtaking! Many happy memories made here for our first trip away with our son. Can’t wait to come back again in the future!
Wonderful cabin in a beautiful place
Wonderful cabin in a beautiful spot on the lake. Cabin was very clean and cosy, even better than the photos. Easy access to the water with a dock, mooring and dinghy for your use. Owners live next door and are super friendly and welcoming. We hope to return again!
Good fun with a beautiful lake.
Geourgeous lake. Cabin was cute.
Morningside was just perfect! Screened porch had amazing viewWe loved the lake.
Highly recommend , Adele and Mac were great, though nearby only came by if we had questions. setting was wonderful. House was small but cozy, but had plenty of room. Bedrooms though small are comfortable, twin girls slept in the kids bunk room which was perfect for them and teenagers slept in twin loft. Would definitely consider morningside again!
Cozy and relaxing
Our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 kids) had a wonderful stay! The property had everything we needed to feel at home. Adele was very helpful and friendly. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The lake is beautiful! Our girls enjoyed floating around on the lake and jumping off the swim platform. The screened patio was perfect for the cool evenings to enjoy the fresh air without the bugs!
Sebago Lake, Maine's second largest and home of the landlocked salmon, is at the center of a popular vacation area situated approximately 40 minutes from Portland International Airport and the ocean beaches of Southern Maine and about an hour from Freeport and its many shopping outlets. This pristine, deep and picturesque lake provides ample opportunites for all water sports and fishing. One sees loons and other birds, including nesting eagles on a nearby island. North Sebago is located on the quieter, western side of the lake, 6 miles from the recreational town of Naples, with its golf courses, restaurants, antique shops and more. Deertrees, one of New England's oldest summer theaters, is located in nearby Harrison.
