Ahinahina Hale is a five bedroom five and one half bath custom home centrally located in the quaint town of Kailua-Kona. The house sits on six acres of agricultural land in the private expansive subdivision of Ho'omalu Estates (the subdivision is gated as well as the property).
The 4200 square foot home features sweeping views of the mountain, ocean, and lush tropical gardens. Relax and grill on the open lanais or take a swim in the 75 foot saline swimming pool while watching a beautiful Hawaiian sunset over the ocean.
The Ahinahina Hale is the perfect home for gathering and entertaining. A large family or group of friends will appreciate the space and privacy our home has to offer. Directly located off of the pool lanai are two beautiful master suites with Jacuzzi tubs, walk-in closets and sunset views. Additionally, there are three spacious bedrooms suites located on the mountain side of the house, each with private entrances off of the interior courtyard.
Further Details: Located in walking distance to 'Magic Sands' white sand beach (5 minute walk at a leisurely pace) and minutes from Kahaluu beach park the best snorkeling beach on the island, The Ahinahina Hale is also conveniently located to many other activities and interests on the island.
A five minute drive south will bring you to Keauhou Country Club, a 36-hole world-class golf course, and Keauhou Shopping Center where you can find gourmet coffee shops, fine dining and casual restaurants, a supermarket, movie theater and more.
Kona Coffee Country and Hawaii's historic Kealakekua Bay are a short trip south with plenty of quaint towns and gourmet eateries on the way.
Just returned from a week in this beautiful house. We were an extended family with small children, who enjoyed the swimming pool every day. The space was perfect for family meals and gatherings, and perfect for quiet times alone. The house was clean, well-appointed, and centrally located for all our activities. Thank you Zack for making our Hawaiian vacation so enjoyable!
This is a beautiful home in a gated private community. The home and the pool were the foundation to a great family vacation. The owners are fantastic and you could not ask for a better location. Hope to be back soon.
We enjoyed staying here during Ironman week 2016. The pool is absolutely amazing, the sunsets are gorgeous! Paper products are limited and the 3 rooms separate from the main house are not anywhere near the quality of the main house and rooms. (we were with couples so the people staying away from the main house weren't as pleased) The ac didn't work in one of the 3 rooms but we weren't using all of them so we were able to work around it. The property is spectacular and we would recommend this to anyone staying in Kona.
I just returned from my 6th stay at this beautiful house. This time we had a group of 10 women . Each and every one thought the house was beautiful and perfect for large groups. Zack and Anza are quick to fix any little problem. The new appliances are beautiful. Can't wait to return in February.
This private, expansive home provided everything we were looking for in a home vacation rental. Location: Close to beaches, snorkeling, Kailua shops and restaurants. Privacy: Quiet, secluded feeling allowed everyone to sleep in and relax by the pool. Space: private suites for Gramps and Grandma, Uncles, Aunts and children. Separate places to gather or have some private time to catch up on work stuff. Comfort: Nicely appointed, good showers and tubs, etc. We'll come back when we next come to Kona.
Six friends just spent 10 days at this amazing property and we're already looking forward to next year. There are 5 bedroom suites; two grand master-suites in the main house and three smaller master-suites the separate courtyard building. The privacy for each of us was perfect. The main house was very large with almost everything you need to fix meals and cocktails including a rice cooker, food processor, blender... even a stocked spice cabinet which we added to. The cabinet over the microwave was chocked full of suntan lotions and sprays which we also added to. The yard, lanai and pool were spectacular! Huge! You could even find privacy outside if you wanted to. We lived out there, even on the one day it rained, taking all of our meals at the outdoor dining table. When the BBQ ran out of propane the owners replaced it promptly and they quickly responded to one other issue as well...they were really pleasant to deal with. Even the pool guy, who we saw twice, was really nice and educated us on the benefits of the saline pool.
It's a quick walk down to Alli'i Drive and a few small beaches. Great small town feel with a little market not far from the house and both Costco and Safeway are a short drive away.
The only reason we're not giving this wonderful home 5 stars is the kitchen appliances are all tired and need replacing. Two of us still have bruises on our thighs, from 11 days ago, from the dishwasher door (we learned quickly to stand to the side when opening it). The fridge door pops when you open it like the hinge is ready to come off and the ice machine doesn't work. One of the burners on the stove isn't working and the oven seemed to take a long time to heat up. But a brand new washer and dryer in the big laundry room work great!
Bottom line is you'll be happy and relaxed and enjoy the amazing sunsets and beautiful landscaping and be as hooked on this home as we are. Aloha!

Rental contract and first payment, 50% of total, are required to book the home. Rental insurance is required in lui of cash security deposit (much less expensive). Remainder of balance is due 60 days prior to check-in.
One time Cleaning fee of $350. Hawaii State taxes 13.75%
Cancellation policy - 90% of monies paid will be refunded if I am able to re-book the house for your time slot. If I am unable to re-book all funds that have been paid will be forfeited. We have had to establish this cancellation policy due to the nature of our booking patterns. We are not a hotel with a high volume of turn over. Most bookings are made and secured well in advance and average one to two weeks. Last minute cancellations that we are not able to re-book are a complete loss and can be devastating to our business.
