Why Bill Lynch chose Bumpass
Home is located on two acres of gradually sloping wooded lakefront property facing West toward the lake, with about 300 feet of waterfront. We are located on the private side of Lake Anna which has considerably less boat/water traffic than the public side. Owners: Bill & Leslie
What makes this House unique
Wonderful enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the dock, and watching the sunset or stars at night. If you are renting our house - fishing is allowed off our dock without a fishing license. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Both sunny and shady spots are available.

Beautiful home and outdoor spaces. Plenty of room for adults and kids. Safe water area for kids.
Beach/lake front was the gathering place for everyone all day. Lots of shade throughout the day letting us stay out all day. Water was amazingly warm 24/7!! This was a family reunion and we had rented an almost adjacent house within swimming distance and the Lynch beach was the gathering place. Only downfall was garbage removal. Overall a great week at the property.
We have taken your idea in mind and will be implementing garbage pickup twice a week during our rentals in the following years.
Thanks for your suggestions, Bill
Great house for gathering of 8 to 10 people
The house is great for a group of 8 to 10 people. We had 8 adults and one toddler and one 7 month old. The downstairs has a large open space that never felt crowded even when we were all there and let us all join in on the conversation as we kept tabs on the toddler and baby or prepared dinner. The kitchen had everything needed to easily fix dinners. We rented kayaks and a paddle board from the Lake Anna Outfitters for the week which kept everyone busy along with fishing and swimming. The water was warm but not uncomfortable - it did not keep anyone from enjoying the lake. We spent most of the time hanging out at the house, the dock and the deck. We took bikes but the roads are not good for biking - too winding and fast moving cars. We visited the Coyote Hole Ciderworks and the Lake Anna Winery. Both were fun but be aware that their hours are short.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our lake Anna house.
Thanks, Bill & Leslie
Great Access to Lake
Family of 7 adults and 1 child 20 months old. We brought a life jacket for the child to have when ever out side. The lake is just a short walk from the back of the house. House was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with everything that you might need to make a meal. There are 2 charcoal grills outside to use as well. There are tables, chairs and umbrellas to use out on the dock. There are steps into the water and a slide to assist you into the water. We do not have a boat, but the property has a boat ramp very close by. The owner is very hospitable and was actually at the house when we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and all of it's assets. We had rainy days during some of our week there. But there is Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, and Monticello about an hour away. There is a grocery store about 20 minutes away. There are several dining establishments, mini golf, wineries and a cider works not to far of a drive from the home. This home is located on the quiet side of Lake Anna. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We are glad that you enjoyed your vacation at our lake Anna house.
Thanks for the review, Bill & Leslie
Water was perfect. Easy to dock our boat. Clean. Home was very comfortable and clean. Fire pit very relaxing right on waters edge.
Bill is so welcoming and accomodating. They take such pride in their home.
It has all the comforts of home. We wanted for nothing.
Breakfasts and dinners on the pier were wonderful. Caught quite a few catfish right off the pier. Saw some big bass, but couldn't catch them.
Sitting at the campfire at lakeside was the perfect ending to our days.
The lake is beautiful, huge and warm! Ninety four degrees on September 14th! So convienient to launch our boat (right beside the property!) and have it at our own dock at our disposal.
Our first time there, but hopefully not our last! Thanks for a totally relaxing, rejuvenating week!
This place was perfect for our week-long vacation with friends. We were 4 adults and 2 kids, ages 6 and 7. The house is gorgeous--more than enough space for all of us. The owner was so friendly and helpful when we arrived, walking us around the house and showing us all the tricks. He clearly takes lots of pride in this place, which has been beautifully maintained. The water is definitely on the warm side, but we could not have had a more lovely, relaxing time here. Hoping to return! Thanks!!
Lake Anna is located in central Virginia about 90 minutes SW from Washington DC, and halfway between Fredericksburg and Charlottesville. Nearby is Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's home), Kings Dominion Amusement Park, and National Military Parks.
