About Steve Simmons
We all chipped in with the rebuilding of this house. We finished construction in the fall of 2009. Here are Dave and Steve drilling a well pipe access point. As you can see, we literally started from scratch. We also enjoy two other family homes on GreenWater, and we visit all summer long! And btw, we are always looking for people to wakeboard!
Steve Simmons purchased this House in 2007
Why Steve Simmons chose Becket
We are an extended family that all fell in love with Becket and can especially appreciate the recreation that GreenWater Pond has to offer. Our family all went in and bought a rundown old cabin and decided to rebuild it. It was really a no brainer. With gorgeous Mountain and Lake views, private access to the lake across the street, and close proximity to year round activities, it really is a great place to bring the whole family.
What makes this House unique
This is where we go to decompress from the craziness of Boston. Whether it is soaking up sun, wakeboarding, hitting the shoppes, hitting the slopes, catching a James Taylor concert in the summer (always around the 4th by the way), catching some Hollywood folk starring in summer stock, or grabbing hot cider at the Red Lion Inn after a day of hiking the Trail in the fall ... One cannot help just feel the stress of life just melt away.

Starry Nite Rocks!!!
The owners of this lovely home spared not one thing to accommodate our every need!.Nestled in a beautiful and quaint New England town, the home screams charm! Thanks Steve and David for this wonderful gift.
Another great stay at Starry Nite
Starry Nite is ideally located for our annual deer hunting trip. The kitchen is fully outfitted and having two bathrooms is great. The place is always spotless and large enough to accommodate a large group. My only improvement comment would be to have cots or additional single beds available. We are a group of men on a hunting trip you're not going get guys sharing the same bed so some must utilize the ample floor space. This was our third year at Starry Nite and are making plans to return next year.
Great Thanksgiving weekend!
The hiking in this area is outstanding! The house was great and the owner is very helpful. The only negative is that it is on busy rd (rt 20).
This is a different sort of review as due to unfortunate circumstances we had to cancel our stay close to our reservation. Steve was so kind and understanding of our situation and so easy to work with. He responded right away. I will definitely be booking here again!
Great stay for Tanglewood weekend
The stay at Starry Nite was a great weekend getaway for the group of us. The house was clean and up-to-date, with a large kitchen abundantly stocked. The outdoor area with the gas grill was an outstanding place to barbecue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime.
Great location great price.
Modern house with a fully stocked kitchen.
A supermarket is just 9 miles down the road.
The lake is crystal clear and the house isn't on the lake but it had its own beach and dock.
The only thing the pictures don't show it that route 20 is between the house and the lake.
It's a little noisy and you have to be careful crossing the road. But for the price, you're in the Berkshires in a great location. You probably won't sit outside without a lot of bug spray now, it's mosquito season so you don't hear the car noise with the AC on.
Bring your own music, there's none in the upstairs.
I'd do it again even with route 20.
The Berkshires offer a wonderful mix of history, culture and recreation. There is an abundance of all these qualities here in the hills of western Massachusetts. Whether you're looking to feed your mind or your body, this is the perfect vacation destination.
