Yahoo Travel named Taos 'One of the ten best mountain towns in the world' Forbes Magazine named Taos number three on its list of America's prettiest towns.
Casita Perdido: Perfect for a ski getaway or just some time alone. Convenient to all Taos has to offer: world-class skiing, shopping, gallery browsing and great restaurants. Enjoy a cozy fire in the hand sculptured kiva fireplace, or just sit on the portal and take in the views of Taos Mountain and the Sangre de Christos. This is the perfect summer or winter get-away retreat.
Built in a natural pueblo style, with natural mud plasters, viga ceilings and beautiful kiva fireplace this home exudes true Southwestern charm. And it is full of original art, antiques, family treasures and Navajo weavings for you to enjoy.
The queen sized antique bed is a family antique and is outfitted with fine linens. If you enjoy cooking, you will love the full size kitchen with gas stove, microwave and large refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker.
You can serve dinner in the separate dining area then build a fire and settle in under one of the antique quilts for a romantic evening. Or go for an evening out to enjoy one of the area’s many fine restaurants. Later, take a walk under the stars or sit in the hot tub and watch the moon rise over Taos Mountain.
Outside is a beautiful flagstone portal with jaw-dropping views. The property overlooks Taos Pueblo land, which, many times is the grazing area for the Pueblo’s mustang herd. The nights are perfect for stargazing in the clear New Mexico air.

The Owner purchased this house in 2003
National Geographic just named Taos as number 14 in its top 25 ski towns in the world. Taos is a world-class destination for winter sports, art, history, and outdoor activities all season.
This casita is charming, has all the comforts plus the most jaw-dropping views in Northern New Mexico. As Hosts, our goal is to be helpful, but not intrusive. Guests can have all the privacy they desire. We have arranged to have a Massage Therapist make in-Casita visits at a special guest rate. We can also help you arrange the perfect wedding or that 'to-good-to-be-true' honeymoon!
Great place to get away
This house is fantastic and the perfect getaway to relax and unwind, or focus and work. The view from the house is stunning, the access is easy, and the house is extremely comfortable, including radiant floors! Randy is an exceptional host and extremely hospitable. I plan on staying here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed this private casita with a beautiful view across to the mountains. It is well situated for exploring, and delightful for staying at home. All needs are provided for. Enjoy a lovely fireplace, an incredibly comfortable bed, and one of the most beautiful areas on the earth.
We stayed at this casita for two nights and found it to be charming and cozy with a gorgeous view. It is convenient to downtown, yet far enough away for a quiet stay with beautiful night skies. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a washer/dryer that came in handy. The casita is decorated very tastefully - loved the art work!
The casita is ideal and we would happily return again for another stay. It is in a very quiet location with great views but still short drive to Taos and surrounds. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we could want. We enjoyed preparing meals and eating both inside and outside enjoying the views. There is a great deal of thought and attention that has gone into making this casita a place with plenty of character and warmth. You will not be disappointed if you stay.
Really enjoyed the stay! Very cute and affordable, for staying in Taos. Far enough away from the town to have privacy, but close enough to have convinience. The host was very professional and nice. All of the paintings inside the house seem to be done by the host, which adds to the home away from home appeal.
Randy and Sonya really know how to create a comfortable space. Gorgeous place to stage daily outings around Taos. Beautifully located and well maintained.
When I think of the beauty of New Mexico in the Summer, it is truly from the vantage of this Casita - big mountains, direct open sky and abundant sage. The kind of beauty that blows over your senses with smell, touch and sight. The Casita is perfectly situated to capture the gorgeous views yet close enough to Town to get the Taos experience while also allowing for a quick launch to the ski valley to enjoy marvelous hiking or skiing.
The Casita was perfectly comfortable for a couple and would be good for a family of four. It was very clean and well stocked with the basics to make a decent meal. There were plenty of big fluffy towels for after a hot shower.
The only challenge spot was the main house had a light on one night for awhile which shone rather brightly into our desire to enjoy the dark and quiet of the night. Lowering the blind helped.
Thank you. We will plan to return!
