Casita Perdido: Perfect for a ski getaway or just some time alone. Convenient to all Taos has to offer: world-class skiing, shopping, gallery browsing and great restaurants. Enjoy a cozy fire in the hand sculptured kiva fireplace, or just sit on the portal and take in the views of Taos Mountain and the Sangre de Christos. Built in a natural pueblo style, with natural mud plasters, viga ceilings and beautiful kiva fireplace this home exudes true Southwestern charm. And it is full of original art, antiques, family treasures and Navajo weavings for you to enjoy.

The queen sized antique bed is a family antique and is outfitted with fine linens. If you enjoy cooking, you will love the full size kitchen with gas stove, microwave and large refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker.

You can serve dinner in the separate dining area then build a fire and settle in under one of the antique quilts for a romantic evening. Or go for an evening out to enjoy one of the area’s many fine restaurants. Later, take a walk under the stars or watch the moon rise over Taos Mountain.

Outside is a beautiful flagstone portal with jaw-dropping views. The property overlooks Taos Pueblo land, which, many times is the grazing area for the Pueblo’s mustang herd. The nights are perfect for stargazing in the clear New Mexico air.

And if you absolutely need to keep in touch with the outside world, Casa Perdido has satellite HDTV and high-speed wireless Internet.

Your hosts, Randy and Sondra, live next door to answer questions and help with area information and directions. Casita Perdido is perfect for so romantic getaways… artists looking for inspiration…anyone wanting an unforgettable New Mexico vacation.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great place to get away

This house is fantastic and the perfect getaway to relax and unwind, or focus and work. The view from the house is stunning, the access is easy, and the house is extremely comfortable, including radiant floors! Randy is an exceptional host and extremely hospitable. I plan on staying here again.

Family Trip

We have two small kiddos and the casita was perfect for us. We even made thanksgiving dinner during the stay, as the kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you need. Great base camp for all of the area's attractions!

From sunrise to!

  • 5 of 5

The Southwest vibe was so apparent in this well appointed house. I stay at VRBO'S a lot and I've never been in such a well stocked and fabulously furnished home. I am a pyro at heart and loved having a fire in the Kiva whenever I wanted. The refrigerator and pantry were stocked with essentials and even had spices aplenty to pick from. The decor and artwork were absolutely lovely which I found out, Randy(one of the owners) was one of the artists. We spent a couple of days with Randy as he is a realtor, and he was so incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Taos and surrounding areas. We loved it so much we will be purchasing a house near the Ski Valley. And just when the time couldn't get any snowed!!! Yes we were there for the first snow of Taos' ski season. Thank you Thank you!!! It was truly a magical vacation.

We enjoyed our stay so much it was almost impossible to leave. Casita fit our lifestyle perfectly. And had everything that we needed including some well-deserved rest and amazing peace and quiet. The first night sunset was absolutely unbelievable and just made it that much better. We hope to return!

Nice little Casita for the money!

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I had a great stay for our 20th anniversary! Relaxing time with the scenery and fire in the kiva in the evenings. Clean with all the amenities and 5-10 minutes to downtown.
