It was ok but not for the price. I could have saved $ by booking directly through Cathy. Alot of paperwork with application was requested plus vrbo charged me extra. I've never had such a stressful experience booking through vrbo. Usually it's fairly simple.. the river was extremely low and when I emailed her asking about the water level because I wanted to cancel if so my card was automatically charged for remainder with email from her only reply was, call me monday.. next time I'll rent a hotel and save alot of $$ plus a 250 deposit. $1000. For 2 days to much$

Owner's Response: Lavena, thank you for the review. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay completely. I did however, explain to you that we do not offer cancellations due to weather or river conditions and we do not have any control over those things and can't offer cancellations just because you wouldn't be able to float the river. Your card was charged automatically because your balance was due. Also, we just sent you 3 forms; a very basic Short Term Rental Agreement and a Credit Card Authorization Form. The forms we send are very necessary and explain our procedures and also provide the due date for the balance of your reservation. We ask all our guests to sign these forms. I also gave you a discount because you mis-understood the way vrbo showed our rates but for sake of arguing with a guest I honored the rate (which was an "average") for you and you definitely did NOT pay $1,000. I am not sure if vrbo charged you $400 but you paid me a lot less than $1,000 for two nights. Sorry it wasn't a pleasant experience for you but the things you mostly complained about were things out of our control or standard practice. Yes, I agree you should have booked with me directly it would have saved you money and having to deal with a third party. Again, I am very sorry you didn't enjoy the entire experience and wish you well in the future.

Perfect getaway. I went for fly fishing and I couldn't of had a better time.

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoyed the views, the water, the friendly people we met. We did stay during the off season for fly fishing so it was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was spotless and was great sitting out on the porch listening to the water coming down the chute. If you are into fly fishing this is the perfect spot for it or during the summer months that chute looked like alot of fun.
