  • The Retreat provides a variety of sleeping arrangements. Two master suites on the main level, one pool-side and the other city-side (with direct pool access), provide quiet, romantic escapes from the rest of the guests. The pool-side suite is opulent with flowing linens, a California King bed, a spacious bath with dual vanities and sinks and ample closet space. The city-side suite is more intimate but bold- with a California King bed, rich dark woods, a full bath, and the same spectacular city views as the verandah. This suite is also home to the library, for guests that might have forgot their favorite book at home. Upstairs you will find another full bathroom and two large bedrooms- one with a Queen bed that sits perfectly positioned to enjoy the view, and one with two Double beds - perfect for adults and kids alike! Linens and towels are abundant.

Great location, fantastic for families!

This house was in a great location and our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and the pool area was fantastic. The kitchen had many items that were left behind (like coffee), that were very useful so I suggest to see what the have before shopping. The only downside was all the beds are really squeaky, but after a night or two we got used to them.

Great outdoor area and convenient location.

The best part of this house is the outdoor area. The pool and hot tub are great. The pool and hot tub are both big. We paid to heat the pool in March, which I would recommend. There are also nice chairs to sit on around the pool.

The house is a little dated in some areas but was overall fine. The kitchen had everything we needed. Yes, you do hear the airport traffic but it did not bother any of us. It really is not that loud. Also no flights leave at night so there is no air noise when you are sleeping.

The location of the house is great. The house is close to the freeway and you can get anywhere easily.

The manager was easy to get a hold of and very responsive.

Wish the large pool was heated as well, since the water was too cold for everyone to enjoy. Even if there was an option to pay a little more to help cover the heating charges

Great Week

Our family stayed here for a week celebrating a graduation. The house had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We brought along our dog and the house was perfectly suited for her with a completely gated backyard. Everything was cleaned and well maintained. The newly renovated backyard was fantastic for just lounging around.

We did have some issues with the pool heating, but those were quickly taken care of by the property manager. the noise from the airport takes some getting used to, but it wouldn't deter us from staying there again. Great house and experience, would highly recommend this property.

Great value and wonderful place!

For the price, this place was phenomenal. The house itself is spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was hot and the pool was great for jumping in to cool off. The property manager was responsive and worked with us very well. The location is well-suited for walking, taking the rail, or using Uber to get anywhere in town for pretty cheap. Near Balboa park and the airport. Was ideal for a group all going to the convention center easily by rail. The kitchen was perfect for cooking but there's plenty of good food nearby as well. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Great property!

Great place to stay. Close to everything you would want to see, experience. Literally less than 2 miles from airport. Little hard to get used to noise from planes, first floor front bedroom only, but if you are an early riser, not a problem. Convenient to grocery store, restaraunts, etc. Highly recommend.

A damage/reservation deposit of $1000 is required. This must be received within fourteen (14) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (21) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met:
a. No damage is done to unit or its contents (lounge chairs, pool toys & umbrellas), beyond normal wear and tear.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or
services rendered during the stay.
c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in large outdoor trash cans located in driveway (see item 15 below), and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of laundry (towels or linens) is started (see “CLEANING” in section 20 below).
d. All keys are returned to lockbox and unit is left locked.
e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
f. No linens or towels are lost or damaged.
g. No Early check-in or late check-out (unless agreed to in writing in advance).
