About Bernadette Cieslak
My husband and I purchased our 2 bedroom in Feb 2010 and it was the coldest Feb on record. It was so cold we could not even walk out on the beach. We started renting the condo on Memorial Day weekend 2010. We live in Ohio and love going to Florida
Bernadette Cieslak purchased this Condo in 2010
Why Bernadette Cieslak chose Bay Isles
We had never been to LBK when we purchased the condo. We love LBK better than any other place in Florida. We looked at many different beach locations before deciding on LBK. This area is a hidden gem.
What makes this Condo unique
LBK is a very quiet beach. I love that we can walk across the street and be on the beach. We often leave our stuff out on the beach and run back to the condo for a nap. We also just purchased another condo on Siesta Key, if you are interested go to my website.

Exactly like described on website
Apartment was just as mentioned on website. Communication was fine for booking. None needed during our stay.
Beach was great and just across the street. It was not crowded at all.
However one major thing was very upsetting to us which had nothing to do with the apartment itself but the owner. We require a service dog and as per ADA law you can not charge a pet fee for service dogs as they not a pet but considered a medical device.
Owner decided to totally ignore that fact based on that the fee is not too high and that everyone else with a service dog paid it. They basically told us to pay up or they won’t rent it to us. That is against the ADA law!!!! We did mentioned that as well but they didn’t care if it’s against the law. Our service dog is legit!!!! Not a pet with a vest on because we want to take them everywhere. Against some people’s believe it’s not fun to have a disability and take your dog everywhere. We also had checked with VRBO and as per their information the owner has to acted according to the ADA law.
It was awesome love that place
Convenient location right on the Gulf of Mexico. High traffic could be heard from the Bedroom. The futon/bunk bed room has no windows and nothing but the bed leaving it somewhat claustrophobic. If you are a clean freak this is not the place to stay. For the price paid and deposit held in advance I had expected a bit more.
Thank you for leaving a review. I agree the futon room is small and it is well described on my website and in my listing on Homeaway. As for the noise, I cannot do anything about this. I wish you would have contacted me immediately when you checked in about the cleaning. I email arrival instructions 7 days prior that explains if there are ANY issues please contact me. I never heard from you when you checked in for 3 nights, so I figured everything was fine. I cannot fix something that I am not aware of. My cleaning lady has been cleaning since October and this is my first complaint (which is posted on a review). I have been renting this condo since 2012 and have many positive reviews.
Good and near the beach
Really cute little condo, we really loved the beach across the street, and discovered the amazing longboat key, a really good and cozy beach community.
The “condo” is a joke. Could have been ok but RED TIDE dead fish and snakes, smell was awful and the water is rusty
Unfortunately the red tide bloomed during a time when this guest, who lives in Sarasota scheduled her trip. I appreciate the 5 stars for the condo. She was very happy with the accomodations but was upset about the red tide which we do not have control over.
It was lovely except the second bedroom.
Lovely spot, wonderfully located walking distance from new Publix, CVS, library and Bank of America. But the room with the bunks is a converted closet unfortunately with no second egress in case of fire. It’s tight in there. My husband slept with our kids in there they were so excited to sleep on bunks. Otherwise great spot to spend a few days!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I agree that the second bedroom is small with no window. This is why I clearly state this in my description with homeaway and my website. Glad your kids enjoyed the bunkbeds.
Longboat Key is a very upscale barrier island which is connected by bridges to Anna Maria Key to the North and St. Armand's Key and Sarasota to the South. Sarasota Airport is an easy 15-20 minute drive and Tampa International Airport is an hour's drive North.
