'Cozy' two-bedroom brownstone apt, sleeps up to four people. Located on the Upper West Side's most lovely street, a half-block from Central Park and a few minutes'walk from major subway stations.
It's the street pictured in Nora Ephron's:'You've Got Mail' and dozens of other movies -- a quaint neighborhood with food markets, newsstands, coffee shops and bars, and your choice of restaurants almost outside the door.
You can run along the reservoir in Central Park or walk across to the Metropolitan Museum. The Museum of Natural History is minutes away, as is the Jewish Museum and the Conservatory Gardens.
The apartment is two floors up. Its rear windows look out on sycamore and willow trees, and the only sounds are those of the birds in the morning.

Beautiful quiet street only 2 min walk from Central Park!! The beds are comfy and the apartment is well equipped for short or long stays. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys aged 8 and 10) stayed comfortably in the apartment and at no time whinged about anything. Vera and Joseph are fantastic with communication and make you feel very welcome to their place. They offer great suggestions on everything from travel to eateries. The laundry facilities are great and worked very well. We cannot fault the apartment or Vera and Joseph. We would highly recommend the apartment and would definitely stay again when returning to New York. Thankyou.
This a a very nice property, with excellent owners. A wonderful value. The apartment is very clean, and the kitchen is excellent, with all the appropriate utensils. My Mom slept in one room, my son on the bunk, I was in the bottom bed of the bunk (full size, I think) and my wife was on the air mattress. A bit tight, but we did just fine. The only issue with the apartment is that it is an old building and there is not way to control the heat - so we vacillated between hot and cold a bit, and even had to open windows in December when it got too warm in the apartment. It was a trade off we'd make again. Vera was very helpful with questions we had and made everything very easy. The neighborhood is great, Central Park is a half block away and there is a playground at the end of the block for those of you with young kids.
My family of four adults stayed in the apartment for eight nights. It was a great place to come back to after each long day of sightseeing. The neighborhood is very quiet and we were glad to escape the madness of downtown area hotels. It had everything we needed including a nice living room/kitchen area where we could talk about our day and plan the next.
Vera was very helpful for information and came through for us with a main bed issue. The box spring was broken when we arrived and during a very busy holiday week she got it replaced. We appreciated that for our last few nights.
Subway stations were just around the corner and very easy to use and we had a great time in Central Park right next door. We highly recommend the bike tour!
We would live to return to NYC someday and wouldn't hesitate to stay in this apartment again! Thank you Vera!
We absolutely loved the neighborhood, it's one of the most beautiful blocks on the Upper West Side and the apartment was such a cozy, restful place to come home to at the end of the day. It's located at the rear of the building, so street noise is minimal. Neighbors very quiet as well, this is not a party building and it's perfect for families. Very clean. Loved the wood floors, brick feature wall and comfy sofa and armchair. Beds very comfortable. Extremely well located for subway access - we didn't use a cab once! Literally half a block from Central Park - our son made a beeline for the park when we arrived, and it was such a relaxing way to start our trip! Fantastic communication from our hosts who answered our questions every step of the way, and provided a helpful letter with all the highlights of the neighborhood. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
Everything was as described in the photos and reviews. My main problem was that the mattress was too soft and not comfortable so I had to sleep in the bunk bed in the other room and my husband put up with the soft queen mattress.
We just spent a lovely 5 days in this great apartment. for us, it was perfect as it is located in a peaceful street 2 minutes walk from Central Park and 5 minutes walk to the nearest subway for great access to all that Manhattan has to offer.
It was so easy and cheap to get around Manhattan with the Metrocard!
The apartment was a very quiet (a peaceful haven after the hectic sightseeing!), it had everything we needed (2 adults and 2 grown up teenagers)
Don't miss the American Museum of Natural History just a couple of stops away from the apartment - what a fabulous place to lose yourselves in for a day. One of our favourite meals was in the Korean quarter where we had a traditional Korean BBQ - brilliant and affordable food!
Our hosts Joseph and Vera were excellent at keeping us informed and communicating before and during our stay - we could not recommend them enough - thanks guys!
