The cabin is well equipped with what you need ( could use a good wine opener). We've been there in the winter and summer. The cabin is well insulated and your nice and comfortable inside in any weather. I truly like the view from the back porch and love the fact that you can drive right up to the front porch....so loading and unloading is simple and easy.
This cabin was gorgeous. Looked like it was recently renovated. Beautiful scenery and really quiet. We’ll definitely be back
Perfect mountain lake cabin getaway
We enjoy a relaxing vacation in this cozy lake cabin. We saw gorgeous fall colors and took several hikes in the area to see waterfalls and beautiful vistas.
It was so peaceful and relaxing.
I would book this again in a heartbeat!
Nice, quiet getaway.
Overall getaway was great. Prior to arrival owner was easily reached and prompt to respond to messages. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The beds were comfy. Lots of quilts and blankets for use, and the gas logs were very nice and cozy. Outside, the area was quiet and serene. My husband and son had fun using the canoe and ping pong table. Only a couple suggestions: definitely arrive while there is someone at the guard house. We almost didn’t get in due to problems with the after hours entry codes, and were unable to contact the owner and there was no number to contact the property manager. After leaving messages and an hour of waiting, a cleaning lady happened to show up and was going in, we showed her our reservation papers and she let us in the gate. Second suggestion, bring your own wash cloths, and kitchen sponges. The wash cloths at the cabin appear to be more like cleaning rags, some were very stained, not something I’d want to use on my face. Also the dish sponges were used, not new.
FYI, there is a discrepancy in the description, the 2nd bedroom has a full bed, not a queen as stated.
And lastly, the futon covers had dog hair all over, and the porches could use attention to remove spider webs.
Other than the few minor things that could have made our stay better, we had a nice relaxing weekend. Would stay again.
Thank you for the review. Will make sure to replace the items that you mentioned. Normally our guests do not have any issues in gaining entrance to the subdivision. In your case, I was flying out of the country and the caretaker’s number is apparently not working correctly from the gate. We will follow up. Thank you
Cozy, clean house in a beautiful location.
The owner does a wonderful job communicating prior to your arrival and informing guest on how to enter the community. They have also spent the time to provide a book filled with restaurants and places to visit while in the area. I loved that they also provided family games. Just one small thing that needs to be attended to, faucets in the kitchen and master bath drip.
