We offer clean simple and comfortable furnished apartment with availability throughout the year.

This garden level/basement one bedroom apartment with one bathroom on the garden floor of historic Art Deco building is steps from world class restaurants, avant-garde theaters, trendy cafes and the best shopping this city has to offer. The apartment is decorated with passion and attention to detail: simple furniture, color coordinated sheets, rugs, cotton linens, kitchen and bath ware. Please note that this is our least expensive unit because it is in the basement. It has full size windows and it has been remodeled. It is clean, simple and comfortable. The bed in the bedroom is full size and there is a twin size sleeper sofa which folds out.

The building features outdoor seating patio, washer and dryer (shared) and close proximity to Metro only block and a half away.

Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.

Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Please note that during the season the streets get cleaned -please read signs clearly and visibly posted on each street when you must move your car for street cleaning.

Convenient accommodations, very helpful hostess

Four of us stayed here on a social visit during a busy weekend in DC. Sleeping arrangements were somewhat tight, but very comfortable. Prime location with convenient access to the U St/14St corridor was key. We had some trouble with wifi and Eva was extremely helpful in getting the situation resolved posthaste. Heated bathroom floor was definitely a plus.

Very nice apartment, lovely stay!

My mother, husband and I had a lovely stay in this apartment. It was very clean and neat. While small, the space distribution was adequate, and we were comfortable. Besides, we were only going back to the room to sleep! In warm weather, the little patio is a hit. And the shower is soooo nice! The location is sweet and centric, also convenient for us because it is next door to my brother's place.

The owners were very attentive. We were locked out one night by accident, and the owner was very nice about providing us with a spare key.

My only complaints are that the Internet was not functioning (though the owner was open to contacting the provider to assess the situation), and that some of the TV remotes' batteries were dead.

Clean, Comfortable and Homey

This apartment located in the basement of a cute brownstone building was a great place to be able to come back to after touring D.C. every day. It had everything we needed except a can opener. The kitchen is VERY small but functional and we prepared most of our meals there. The living room and bedroom were small, but comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom was very clean and tub+shower was a good size. The commode was a bit close to the tub so if you are very tall, it may be tight. Eva was very pleasant and attentive and got us a parking pass. There is an inviting looking porch we would have liked to use but it rained every evening so we weren't able to. We would stay here again.

Fantastic stay in Washington DC

This apartment is in the best location ever. Right at 14th Street so that you can walk to the National Mall, bike or bus to it. The neighborhood is lively with lots of great restaurants. Our favorite was Le Diplomate at 14th and Q. Eva, the owner was so easy to work with and answered all of our questions. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend her properties. For a larger family you must try her four bedroom historic townhouse. Built in the late 1890's this gorgeous home has beautiful floors, furnishings and a chefs kitchen. When in DC call Eva!

Dupont Circle diamond in the ruff

The location of this apartment could not be any better. It is in the heart of the bustling Dupont Circle/Logan Circle neighborhoods. If you want a bargain and are not concerned about space or sunlight, this is the place for you. Clean, kept up and comfortable. A perfect place to hang your hat in this wonderful city.

Not as advertised

This was a disappointing property. It is certainly not as advertised - this is not a 'garden floor' property, which sounds rather inviting. In fact, you descend down an unpleasant smelling corridor to the dark, neglected basement of the building past a pile of junked computers etc. The property is far smaller than the pictures make it appear, there is almost no natural light, the 'patio' is a small area outside which is accessible to the whole building, which merely gives a lack of privacy to the person staying in this apartment since the covering on the bathroom window is not integral. It was impossible to take a shower without worrying that I was be visible to people on the patio (not too much of a problem for me in March, but a real problem in the summer months I am sure). The bathroom was cold as the heater didn't work. Even worse the hot water tap did not work throughout my stay, despite appeals to Eva to have it mended. The old fridge in the kitchen makes a ridiculously loud noise and was impossible to shut out while sitting in the living space as the whole space is too small to allow for a door between the kitchen and the lounge. To top it off, the entire plumbing of the building seems to run down the inside of the walls in this apartment and for hours on end one could hear everyone else taking their showers and baths....The apartment is in a good location but I would advise the owner to be more honest about the property to avoid this type of disappointment.
