Upgraded smart TV's in 2 bedrooms, ready for you to download from your Netflix account and more. Completely updated kitchen to include granite counters, new cabinets and fresh appliances. Fully stocked with all of the amenities that you could need while on vacation, blender, coffee maker, George Foreman electric grill, side by side refrigerator, dishes and more.

Each bedroom has its own unique identity. Beginning with the master suite or 'Captain's Quarters' which celebrates the captains of ships or boats. Here you will enjoy a plush pillow top king sized bed, full bathroom, smart TV and private balcony. The secondary bedroom also known as the 'fish room' is bright and cheerful for the young at heart. Featuring fish themed bedding on 2 queen sized beds, art and accessories. Upstairs in the 'lighthouse loft' you will find a second master suite with queen sized bed, its own full bath and private balcony and smart TV..

The perfect getaway for large families and easily accommodates several couples for the adult vacation.

About Judy

We love the water! Whether we are on the beach or off shore, South Padre Island is our Texas Hawaiian Paradise. I like to fish in the Ladies Kingfish Tournament each year and my husband acts as my deckhand while my son (previous Coastie) Captain's his boat. We are a family of 4 living in San Antonio. Our dream would be to someday retire on the Island.

Why Judy chose Gulf Coast

Considered to be some of the cleanest beaches in Texas along with the fabulous varieties of fishing to include off shore fishing, jetties, pier, surf casting and bay fishing. The beautiful views from the unit make it a great escape from the rat race of the city and every day stress.

For the Party Animals, Clayton's is a quick 10 minute walk on the beach from our door to the bar!

Very nice but...

The place was nice and spacious. The amenities were very well kept and nice as well. Large pool that was very clean. The location was awesome! Easy walk to the beach.

My only complaint about the property is that they were a little too strict and added on so many extra fees. We had several couples going with us and couldn't help but have more than two cars. Each extra car is $50 to park... also they are very strict about visitors and the number of people in the condos.

Overall I would recommend the place to families or people who like the stay to themselves. I personally will not go back but mainly due to the property owner. Judy Mitchell was very unorganized and unavailable. I had to contact her for information on checking in and the address even and didn't have any contact information besides the home away email she had. I was then told I would receive an email with instructions the day before and never did. Then I emailed her several times for information on the way down to south padre with no reply. Once we got there with groceries and frozen foods we had to wait an hour before we could get ahold of her to just get the four digit access code. We only got ahold of her because a friend used her phone to call. It was apparent she had been screening my phone calls and ignoring the emails. She was very difficult and I would never recommend getting a condo through her.

Owner's Response: Hi Monica, I am sorry to hear that you did not feel I communicated well with you. i answered all of your email requests prior to your stay in a timely manner. I had emailed the instructions with the address the day before your arrival to the email address on the reservation and on my end, it showed that it went through. It also went through the second time when you requested it. I was informed on your reservation that you would have 8 adults which is the maximum allowed by management in the unit. Upon arrival you had 9 people and told security that more were coming. That is when they called me to verify that the reservation was only for 8 people that were communicated to them on my list of guests. I also told you per your request that 2 vehicles were allowed and honored a request for an earlier check in. You had sent me several text messages that I was unable to answer immediately since I was driving at the time and by law cannot text and drive. When your friend actually called me, I was able to answer and give her the information she requested. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. Management enforces the rules due to abuse and to keep the grounds and atmosphere under control.

There is opportunity for improvement.

There is opportunity for improvement. The cleanes of the apartment in general was okay. But there were several cockroaches alive and death around the apartment. The cleanes of the sheets was not the best. Temperature of the apartment was set to 75 regardless of what you set on the thermostat. The location of the apartment and view were great. I will recommend it if they improve this details. Thank you.

Owner's Response: We have an exterminator that sprays and will notify them of this issue. Unfortunately in the summer months this is always an issue when you are near the beach . I will check in with my housekeeper and replace sheets as needed. With the humid hot air and constant in and out the a/c is always working hard to keep up. Thank you for your feedback.

We really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return. Location was absolutely perfect, accommodations were great, i don't know if there would have been anything i would have changed.

BahiaMar 371 is real good

Condo complex has excellent beachfront location, superb pool and hot tub (better than average for SPI), very strong security with wristband control and guards everywhere.

Unit 371 has owner Judy who communicates quickly and professionally. We liked the keyless entry pinpad at the door. Some condos you must go checkin with a real-estate office to pickup a physical key. WasherDryer in the unit is very useful and appreciated. unit has 3 full restrooms, so nobody needs to wait for a shower. Unit had a modest starter stock of tp, paper towel, coffee filters, etc. That was nice.

Only downside to consider is that this is 3rd floor unit, and no elevator. We did not travel light, and had to lug 200lb icechest and way too many groceries up the stairs.
