Compass Point sits on a beautifully landscaped point on the south side of Little Lagoon. The Gulf of Mexico is only a 1/4 mile walk. You will be able to enjoy spectacular sunsets from the balcony, the pools, the pier or the BBQ/picnic area. Rest and relaxation are waiting for you here. With the many amenities that are offered - the dock, the boat launch, the quiet area off the beaten path, and the indoor pool (a favorite attraction), Compass Point is a great place to be.

From our condo, you are able to look out over the outdoor pool and small sand beach onto Little Lagoon. We enjoy our unit overlooking the pool so we can watch the swimmers, and easily call them up for meal times. You can even sunbathe from the large balcony. The table on the balcony seats 4-6. Bring your bikes and enjoy the gulf breezes as you ride on the scenic beach road, or through the safe neighborhood along the lagoon, then safely lock them in the bike rack downstairs.

You can go fishing from the pier or out in the shallow lagoon as your family enjoys boating/kayaking or watching you from the pool or sand beach. Jet skis are popular in the clean lagoon, and you can even park them in our parking lot.

You will have a fully equipped kitchen. Buy your own food and enjoy cooking or go out to some of the wonderful restaurants that Gulf Shores has to offer.

We live in Cullman, Alabama but we all love the beach! Mom and Dad always took us to the beach every year during 'AEA Week' so we got in the habit of regular trips south. Now we have a destination that is worth repeat visits. It's becoming more like a home away from home for some of us. John has two children, and Jan has eight children. We have been to Compass Point several times with our mother, Marlene, who shares ownership with us. She enjoys the pools and the sunsets, as well as special memories of Austin who purchased this wonderful retreat for his family just before he passed away. Why Andy Anglin chose Gulf Shores

The beautiful indoor pool with a great view of the lagoon was one of the main reasons that Compass Point was chosen. We are close enough to walk to the beach, but off the beaten path, so the atmosphere here is very peaceful.

What makes this condo unique

We leave our crab trap (whoops! someone stole our crab trap!), and 2 beach chairs.We are also building a small library of books, DVDs and videos for our guests to use. We enjoy our unit overlooking the pool so we can watch the swimmers, and easily call them up for meal times.

Gorgeous views

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. Gorgeous setting and views. Very large balcony, beautiful pool, lovely breezes in the pool and dock areas. Lots of green space and trees. Really enjoyed our stay.

Be aware that this VRBO listing is not managed by the owner, but handled by an agency. Emails go directly to a rental agency and agency rep responds. After finalizing the reservation by phone and providing my credit card info, the email confirmation showed incorrect departure date (which was easily corrected) and added a $20 parking fee and an $89 "processing fee", which the agent never mentioned but said would cover things "like if the a/c breaks or you need a plumber or something like that". He explained that this was better than the "old deposit system" where they collected a deposit then returned it if the unit was not damaged. Huh? The "free internet" wasn't available because the agency didn't have the log-in info and couldn't reach the owner. The agency got the info the next day, but I had already purchased access through a pay service. We've booked through VRBO for years and never been surprised by additional fees -- all charges were always listed on the website. (Yes, the website says that rental rates "do not include taxes and fees", but we've only ever paid taxes, cleaning, and sometimes parking. We've never had a problem paying a deposit and always received it back promptly. We have NEVER paid a non-refundable "processing fee" when renting a VRBO unit.)

We have one of the lowest admin/processing fees in the area and do our best to give our guests the best deal possible. We're glad you enjoyed the stay!

Wonderful, relaxing condo with great views and great pools!

Cleanest condo we've ever stayed in! Indoor heated pool is great with a terrific view. Short walk to the beach. It really is a great condo and location. The condo is slightly dated on the inside, but in wonderful condition and has a beautiful view of the lagoon. Very peaceful setting and we highly recommend it! Hope to visit again soon. Thanks Jan!
