Guestbook comments from the manager

Rebecca was an extremely gracious host and Casa Kaylen was perfect. Breezy and cool, plenty of space, close to everything we needed for the trip and each beach. Even the futon couch was comfortable. We used the local buses or walked almost everywhere we went. Right from the beginning Rebecca went above and beyond, helping us make travel arrangements with the buses and she was very flexible with our arrival and departure. She even had a bowl of delicious fruit, water, coffee and other necessities - far more than I ever expected. She was very welcoming and attentive. Thank you again Rebecca for sharing your slice of paradise!

LOVE!

  • 5 of 5

This special place was a highlight on our trip to Costa Rica . By far it was my favorite! Looks just like the pictures posted. I loved that all the windows had a screen that allows fresh air into the house. We also loved that there were plenty of fans ( I actually get cold at night). There are plenty of towels and a helpful binder with local information/ directions. The sounds of nature here were amazing. We got to see and hear the 3 different type of monkeys, and macaws. I felt just at home. There is a safe, plenty of lighting and an alarm system. Thank you Rebecca for a wonderful stay!

Would recommend

  • 5 of 5

It was beautiful. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning viewing the Ocean and watching the monkeys play in the trees. Rebecca had provided beach chairs, a beach umbrella, lots of to wells, a bag of coffee, and so much more. House was decorated tastefully and in a great location. Also Rebecca would go out of her way to show or help you see or do anything in the area.

Awesome place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. A secluded little bungalow tucked into the jungle. The view is amazing, just as the pictures show. We saw three different kinds of monkeys (a few with babies!), sloths, beautiful butterflies, iguanas, little animals and so many kinds of birds, while just sitting on the porch. Liked having the bank and a little store within walking distance. The house has everything you need-even a shower that looks out into the jungle-very cool. We always felt safe leaving our things when we went out because of the security provided. Rebecca was so helpful and provided great directions to local beaches and sites, as well as related costs for parking and taxis. I couldn't have imaged a better place to stay. It's quite magical!

Great view

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed staying in this typical Tico bungalow. The view is beautiful. We could see so much vegetation and the ocean. The yard is lovely and filled with animals. We went to sleep and woke up to the sounds of birds. We even saw a sloth just down the road. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off sandy feet. The house was clean and met our needs. It looks like the pictures posted. We had to get comfortable with the lack of glass windows however having the screens provided wonderful breezes and made us feel part of the landscape. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed. There are plenty of towels and two beach chairs. The house is secure with an alarm, safe and good lighting. The internet would go on and off which required us to keep resetting it. Our host Rebecca is wonderful. She has a full book with the house information and local tours and activities. She arranged several guided tours at the National Forest and Butterfly Garden. She told us the best place to park for the beach and where to eat. The house is centrally located and stores, restaurants and pharmacy are within walking distance. This is also a draw back since the road is very noisy and traffic continued until about 10 pm as well as the music at the bar across the street. We learned to adjust. Costa Rica is a beautiful country. We really enjoyed our visit.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Like everyone else said, this was a wonderful place to stay! Great location, clean, friendly and helpful owners, secure, private and equipped with everything you'd need. We loved watching the squirrel monkeys right outside the house playing in the mango tree :) Just what we were looking for!

Great place and great people!!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Casa Kaylen for 3 nights in July/August. We really had a great time! The house was very well equipped (kitchen well equipped, lots of towels, fans, beach stuff like cooler and chairs...). The place was also really well secured. We didn't have to worry about anything when we left the place.

Rebecca was also a gem! She told us what to look out for at the beach and at the park, which restaurant she recommended, etc.

The house itself was really well place (5min by car to the beach and park, walking distance to a small market, cafes, restaurants, etc.).

Rebecca and her husband also helped us out during our stay because we unfortunately lost our rental car keys in the park... What a nightmare. They gave us a ride back to the house and help us out since the house keys were in the car.

They were great!!! The place was great, the view was great and Rebecca and her husband were great also!

I recommended Casa Kaylen without hesitation!
