Beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I spent a week enjoying this lovely place. The beach house was comfortable and cozy, we didn't want for anything. We enjoyed the easy beach access, spent hours on the beach, shelling and playing in the water. Loved that it was not crowded very peaceful and relaxing. The views from the deck were awesome. Most relaxing vacation I've had in a Lon time.

Our favorite place on the beach

  • 5 of 5

We have vacationed at this beach house on four different occasions since the fall of 2010. We especially like this location since it is in a less crowded area. In October, 2014, we watched a bald eagle fly over the beach house nearly every morning. Saw a black bear on the road a few miles away twice in a week, and swam with butterfly rays and dolphins everyday. If you walk a couple miles east on the beach you come to an area where you find incredibly large sea shells, bits of coral and even conch shells. We have lost track of how many different types of sea life we have witnessed over our many visits. This is the perfect place to escape to the beauty of the beach with limited interference from others. The house is located on the beach side of Highway 98, just steps from the ocean. There are three bedrooms, a large den, a small den, two bathrooms, and a kitchen with all you need for your cooking needs. Both showers have the best water pressure we have ever enjoyed at a vacation house. We plan to return as often as we can.

Perfect place to celebrate!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I spent a week here celebrating my 50th birthday. There were four couples and while two couples did share a room, everyone had a comfy bed and plenty of room when eating or watching the sunset from the deck. The house does require some updates but it was clean and had everything we needed, especially the most breathtaking views and wonderful decks to enjoy it. We chose to "meal share" which meant everyone took a night to cook for the others and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The weather was perfect! We were out on the beach and in the water every day and really enjoyed having the beach all to ourselves. We saw so much wildlife - in the water and out - we saw dolphins, butterfly rays, crabs and even bald eagles. This area is truly the forgotten coast. A wonderful house on a rural, quiet, beautiful beach. We can't wait to go back to celebrate the next one turning 50 or even just because.

awful condition of property

  • 1 of 5

I had planned this vacation as a surprise for my returning husband from Afghanistan. With the amount of money we paid, we expected the property to be habitable. We were mistaken. The property was run-down, the carpet was nasty and stained (as was the furniture), the dish-washer did not work, rust on and in appliances, washer leaked and the water smelled of rotten eggs. So not only did we scrub the property for 2 1/2 days, we had to disinfect all our clothing and luggage when we arrived home. What a disappointment this property turned out to be, especially for my husband. Will never go to that property or any place even near that location ever again. Was totally disgusted and not any word back from the realtor after our stay.......what a shocker!

Family Thansgiving

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had such a great time here and formed lasting memories! Recalling the countless hours on a secluded beach, feeding seagulls, and daily dolphin visits makes smile! The condo has a relaxed atmosphere, and is very family friendly. Open the blinds and nearly every room boasts fantastic ocean views. We loved the privacy of the beach, but just a quick trip down the road offered plenty of dining and family activities. A truly relaxing and beautiful vacation, we can't wait to return!

We spent a month here!

  • 5 of 5

The name "Forgotten Coast" was a very apt one. This beach was amazing and there were no crowds. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The photos of the beach house are great for showing what is actually there. We had 2-9 people staying at the house, depending on the week. It was very comfortable and down-to-earth, not fancy. There were plenty of dishes and kitchen items, as well as pantry space to put our own groceries. The house was clean and there were many towels available. There also was a washer and dryer, which made life easier. We definitely want to return to this property in the future and have already recommended it to many friends. We enjoyed the Captain's Table in St. Andrews. We took side trips to Appolaciacola and St, George Island. Tamara's Restaurant and Up the Creek were great in Appolacialcola. We climbed the lighthouses at St. George Island and Cape San Blas. We also enjoyed the pristine beaches of St. George Island State Park and St. Joseph Pennisula State Park. It is not a typical "Spring Break destination", which was perfect for us. We weren't looking for crowds, souvenier shops, and fancy dining establishments.
