My wife and I grew up in Southeastern Pa. and enjoyed going to the Jersey Shore (Avalon and Ocean City), once married and settled down with young children we moved to the Lehigh Valley. Our friends asked us to visit Duck, NC with them and we have been coming back year after year.
Everything is close. It is easy to go back and forth to the beach (less than 500 ft), short stroll around the corner to the large community pool, short trolley ride to the fitness center, basketball court and tennis courts. Easy to walk into town . Our favorite ealry morning routine is to run into town and walk back with a coffee along the beach and look for dolphins. There is no public parking along the Duck Beach at Four Seasons , so the beach is not crowded and it is mainly families staying at the homes in Four Seasons. In the evenings after dinner, fun to walk down to the beach to play football or fly kites or one can walk the other way to the pier and take in the sunset.
Breakers was just perfect for our family of 17! Plenty of room for us all to spread out, and a great room perfect for gathering! This house is meticulously maintained and seems brand new! Great little touches and details, and beautifully decorated! We loved the huge backyard and volleyball court! Just around the corner from the community playground (where we spent a lot of time with the little ones) and beach access. Also used the indoor pool and fitness center (almost) every day! Four Seasons is so convenient to the village of Duck - we did lots of walking and bikeriding into "town." We'll be back!!!
