About The Owner

I was raised and went to school in central California's San Luis Obispo, County and worked for the Department of Transportation(Caltrans) in the San Francisco bay area for thirty-six years. Retired in 2000 and moved to Stateline, Nevada in 2002 where I love the mountain life and mostly snow skiing during the winters at Heavenly Ski Resort. I just turned sixty-nine and still enjoying skiing and the mountain life.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2002

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe South East Shore NV

I bought Unit 'K' in January, 2002 to be in the mountains that I love so much and to be across the street from Heavenly's Stagecoach Chairlift. I am an avid skier and have been skiing Heavenly since 1965. In March of 2002 I bought Unit 'D' and decided to live in it because the living room area is larger than Unit 'Ks'. Because of the terrible world economy we are in, I decided it was time to supplement my retirement income by renting Unit 'K' as a vacation rental.

What makes this condo unique

As the Unit I live in is in the same building as Unit 'K', I have been enjoying all the unique benefits that the greater Tahoe area has to offer. This area has so many diverse things to do, it is difficult to list all of them. I like the beautiful mountain environment and the serenity and quiet of the off season. Then I always am ready and look forward to the transition of the mountains in winter as I prepare for the new ski season and what nature has to offer.

We have stayed here twice now. Ray is very helpful. Condo is clean and comfortable. The elevator is wonderful at end of day and being across the street from the lift (ski in/ski out) is the best way to go for skiers. This year we used South Tahoe Express ($53 round trip) to get from Reno airport to Stateline, NV transit center and then walked about 50 to 70 yards to the Embassy Suites Hotel to use the Blu Go bus to travel to the condo. This eliminated need for a rental car.

South Tahoe Express is a comfortable 1 hr. ride. Blu Go runs about every 1/2 hr and stops at hotels and casinos and grocery stores in Stateline and up on the mountain to the various resorts and condos. Cost is free to $2 per trip depending on time of day. Pickup is at Stagecoach lift/dining room 100 yds from condo and many times the drivers will drop you off at the door of the condo.

2 yrs ago 5 of us stayed here and had a car. The covered parking and dedicated spot was great.

Condo is comfortable/quiet and has most of the basics you will need. A newer TV and DVD player is needed but other basic items are provided.

Owner's Response: Thanks Bob for the nice review, it was a plearure to serve your party during your stay at the condo. It was nice of you to discribe how to get here from Reno/Tahoe Airport by using the shuttle service and bus service. I plan on doing some needed upgrades in the near future as our economy continues to improve,, and add to my main attraction of ideal location, location, location. I appreciate your repeat business as this is my main goal to achieve with all my tenants. Thanks again. Sincerely, Raymond Miller VRBO.con/286864

Perfect Cozy Condo!

We stayed at the condo with our two dogs, Raymond was very welcoming and the condo was very charming. It was warm, comfortable and clean. All the neighbors were very friendly, and it was very close to restaurants and the Lake.
