Unlike other areas of the island typically visited by visitors, the capital of Gran Canaria is mostly home of the local population. That gives it a character very close to the identity of the native canarians. It also offers multiple recreational opportunities such as water sports (surfing, snorkeling, diving, canoeing, etc.), walks, paragliding and a rich cultural offer as well as concerts, shopping, museums, theaters and cinemas. Gastronomy is almost limitless as the islands of Gran Canaria are in their permanent home. Therefore, we can find some of the best restaurants on the island with a very varied cuisine (Japanese, Mexican, Lebanese, Indian, Argentina, etc.) and an extensive native canarian cuisine. 30 minutes away by car or public transport.
