Recommended but not when being renovated (though we received a warning beforehand)

  • 4 of 5

Although we had a good stay, it was not without its flaws. We had been warned about “some construction going on on the deck” and had been offered a discount because of the inconvenience. Nevertheless, we were rather put out to find the house without a lot of its siding, most of the upstairs and some of the downstairs windows covered with plastic sheeting and a general builder’s mess around the building. Even more important: the lockbox was missing leaving us without access. A phone call to the emergency number (fortunately we did have a working phone even though we are Europeans) did bring out someone with a key within about 30 min. A check of the interior showed it to be in much better shape than the exterior except for some (live?) wires sticking out of a removed outlet and the absence of Wifi. A further phone call next day brought out a maintenance guy (promptly I must say) who covered up the outlet but could not do anything about the Wifi as the builders apparently had removed the antenna. So we did without for three days which was inconvenient but not a disaster.

As a final hurdle a new lockbox was installed which, however, we could not open upon departure, probably because the code had been changed. We found a solution by locking the front door from the inside, closing the garage door with the remote and chucking the latter under the closing door.

Of course we realise all this was temporary and in fact the house fitted our needs perfectly. It is spacious and well-appointed and, in its finished state, I would give it 5 stars. It is located in a nice development a bit outside of the village so you do need a car to get downtown. There is an enormous supermarket on the main street - and I mean enormous - with a hot and cold deli, but we found the possibilities for eating out rather limited. One should also realise that it takes about 90 minutes to get to Grand Teton Natl. Park going over the Teton Pass with 10% grades on either side.

In conclusion the inconveniences did not mar our stay too much and the owners did react to our complaints promptly. However, we think they could have been a bit more pro-active and should have more thoroughly checked the state of things before our arrival.

Stayed several times and always enjoy

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this unit several times and it accommodates our family well. Close location to everything, skiing at Targhee, grocery shopping, and local restaurants. Comfortable and spacious, well stocked. Heated garage to park in is a nice perk. The neighborhood streets get plowed as well as the drive into the garage. Quite too! Deer have several times appeared in the back!

Roomy, comfortable base to explore Teton Valley

  • 4 of 5

We visit Teton Valley on a pretty regular basis, and this was the first time we stayed here. Clean comfortable and roomy, this is in a great location and easy to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you need and a gas grill outside adds to the ease of cooking in.

We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
