Houseboat Driftwood is a floating holiday house with all connected media (water, sewage, electricity), which is attached to the outer pier of Marina Mücheln. It is elegantly decorated to match the topics "Driftwood" and "Maritime".
You have a 3-sided lake view from the living room as well as from the covered terrace and the sundeck on the roof. Driftwood is air-conditioned, heated and additionally has a gas fireplace.
You have direct access from your terrace to the water via a bathing ladder.
Driftwood houseboat is located on Geiseltalsee, the largest artificial lake in Germany, southwest of Leipzig. The area is part of the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region (there is also a vineyard on the lake). There is a 25km cycling and walking trail that leads around the lake and is also used by a tourist train. Large parts of the lake are protected (bee-eaters, cranes, sea eagles ...). The lake is quiet, as you can only drive 10 km / h by boat. There are numerous water sports and beaches on the lake (textile and naturist, volleyball fields ...). With about 10m view through the water, the lake is very clear (diving station available).
Central Germany is a cultural landscape with many interesting excursions. Nearby you will find Merseburg, Namburg Saale (cathedral is a World Heritage Site), Klosterpforta, Nebra (site of the Himmelsscheibe), Memleben (monastery and wildlife park), Bad Lauchsteadt (Goethe's summer theater). Within easy reach of up to 1 hour's drive are Weimar, Erfurt, Halle, Leipzig, Lutherstadt Eisleben.
