'Silver Lake takes the top spot on Forbes’ inaugural list of America’s Best Hipster Neighborhoods. Nestled between Echo Park and Los Feliz, the trendy community boasts some of the nation’s most lauded food trucks and farmers markets, a multicultural blend of residents with eclectic professions, and a booming arts scene. Even the buildings exude an avant garde aesthetic a hipster could love: Silver Lake is home to some of the most celebrated modernist architecture in the country, including Richard Neutra’s VDL Research House and John Lautner’s Silvertop.'

We had a great stay in Silver Lake. Judith was welcoming and very accommodating even though our flight was delayed which meant we arrived in the middle of the night. The studio was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. Highly recommended.
Very roomy studio. So much better than a hotel room. Everything was exactly as stated in the website. The only "negative" was only a double bed instead of a queen. The best part was the private deck - especially for Midwesterners visiting in January! Enjoyed several meals at "Home" restaurant just down the hill and around the corner. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again!
This is a large studio in a quiet residential area, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Bonus space in large walk-out deck that overlooks private backyard. Has fireplace and sophisticated security system. Kitchen fully supplied, roomy studio has high quality sheets and towels and is spotlessly clean. Two dressers, armoire with full length mirror, lots of electrical outlets. Checks accepted for deposit but we were told upon check-in that cash was required for shorter rental periods, so inquire about mode of payment before you arrive. On-street parking is available but can be tight. Only negatives were smallish double bed – traveling companions need to be good friends because there’s no separate couch, instead a lovely small loveseat. Wi-Fi connection didn’t work over Thanksgiving but we were assured by the owner this would be fixed on Monday. Judith is friendly and helpful, lives upstairs and is not intrusive. Good value for the money, we hope to return.
