Charmer in 'Sconset.
This is a lovely home. Well cared for. Well designed. Great flow. Nice mix of light and airy rooms, but also cool and comfy rooms to retreat to when you feel bleached out by the sun.
Immaculately clean. Appliances clean and fully functional. Lovely kitchen a pleasure to use. Owner has excellent taste and has furnished the home as though for personal use; quality linens, glassware, appliances, and so on.
Two bedrooms downstairs at some distance from upstairs master suite give parents with teens a little breathing space (unlike most rentals where a traditional format would have everyone in the same sleeping area.)
Location is ideal: near beach, but tucked away for supreme privacy and peace in an otherwise dense area. We spent days biking, hiking, beaching, but happily landed back at Clovelly for the comforts of home. Easy walk to delightful restaurants, and the bustle of Nantucket is only 20 minutes away if you need more variety.
We are already dreaming about coming back.
Beautiful Sconset Home!!! Great for a Group or a family!
We stayed at this home in Sconset to attend a wedding in the area in June 2014. We were 3 couples and the house was just perfect for us. We loved the large family/tv room, large dining table, and outdoor space. The house has so many options for areas to sit and socialize - it is just a great layout! for We walked everywhere and just loved the amazing location of the house. Being able to walk right down to the beach, and right into town was great for a group of 6 of us. The owner was so helpful and answered all of our questions about the house and the area, and we are all hoping to go back for another long weekend next summer! The house is just beautiful and so well maintained - felt like it was our own home!
Our stay in Sconset was ideal because the home was SPECTACULAR! We loved the gourmet kitchen. The layout of the house was open and inviting. The house was finely decorated and as beautiful as the pictures. Its amenities were top of the line. The house was meticulously maintaned and impeccable. The location was perfect. A very short walk to the ocean. "It's a don't miss."
Perfect for a Family
My family stayed at Clovelly this past summer and found it delightful. The location is down a hidden shell lane in Sconset. The owner has exquisite taste and has furnished the house with attractive, comfortable furniture, flat screen TVs, and lovely window treatments. The kitchen is a joy to cook in -- Wolf range and Sub Zero refrigerator. Bathrooms are contemporary and spacious. A charming brick terrace is where you can relax and have drinks while your dinner grills. House comes equipped with everything you would need for the beach -- towels, chairs, even boogie boards. For those hot summer days when the temperature is up there, Clovelly is air-conditioned!
Outstanding Sconset Summer Home
Our family rented Clovelly for two weeks this August (2012) and last - and LOVED it. We would've booked again in 2013 but it was already rented, so act quickly! The house is gorgeous, peaceful, relaxing and well-appointed. We did not need to bring a thing - gorgeous linens, well-stocked kitchen with top--of-the-line appliances, you name it. One is always uncertain about renting a vacation home, so we were over the moon upon seeing it for the first time (the pictures and description gave us a good idea, but you have to see it to believe it!). On the one rainy day we had, the kids had a blast playing ping pong in the basement when we were not putting together puzzles or playing the many games they had for us to use. We enjoyed reading books and eating breakfast in the early morning sun on the patio, and returning home to the oasis after a long day at the beach. It was heaven.
Walking or jogging on Low Beach Road (along the ocean) and Walking the 'Bluff Walk' up to the Sankaty Head Lighthouse. Also walking distance to three excellent restaurants. Walking in general around this historic village is a favorite past time among the inhabitants.
