We've completed a full remodel of #707. The work was done by Scott Williamson, known as the #1 remodel contractor on Ka'anapali Beach. Check out the photos below. The new kitchen features Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances, gorgeous granite counters, high-end cabinets and tile floors. Both bathrooms have new tiled step-in showers and granite-topped vanities. Even the main room has been redone with all new recessed lighting and a tropical ceiling fan.
If you know the Whaler, then you know that 707 is in a great location. It's on the south side of the north tower, so you're facing the courtyard with a terrific view of the ocean and beach. This is our home away from home, and we stay here ourselves as often as we can.
From our private lanai you've got terrific views of the ocean - there's only one apartment closer to the beach - including all of the island of Lanai. Look in the other direction and you've got a great view of the mountains.
If you don't know the Whaler, you're in for a treat. The Whaler is in the best location on Ka'anapali Beach. Walk out of the building and you're just a few steps away from the beach. (Closer than any other property on Ka'anapali Beach.) Directly next to the property is Whaler's Village with dozens of shops and three excellent beachside restaurants. And because you're staying at the Whaler, you don't have to drive home after dinner.
All linens are provided. Check-out cleaning is included free of charge. Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged for a nominal fee.
A deposit of two nights’ rental is required with your reservation. The balance plus a $450 cleaning/damage deposit, is due 60 days prior to arrival. The damage deposit is fully refundable upon satisfactory inspection of the unit's condition following your stay. A 60-day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations more than 60 days prior to the arrival date will be fully refunded. Cancellations within 60 days of the arrival date forfeit the full rent.

About Doug Kaye
Our mainland home is in beautiful Marin County, just north of San Francisco, but we try to spend as much time on Maui as we can. Apartment 707 is our home-away-from-home. We visit 3-4 times every year and we spend most of our time making sure everything in our condo is just right for our guests.

Why Doug Kaye chose Kaanapali
We first stayed at the Whaler on our 15th wedding anniversary. That was 32 years ago in 1986. To us, the Whaler is all about the location. We love that we can walk out of the building and immediately be on the beach. We love that we can sit on the lanai any time between January and April and watch whales. And we love that we can walk home from half a dozen great informal restaurants.
What makes this Condo unique
The beach is literally 30 paces from the building. We walk on the beach and swim in the ocean every morning. We love walking down to Black Rock, coming back to the middle of the beach, getting free fresh towels, taking a swim, drying off lying on the sand, then heading back to the condo. Every day should begin this way! And every evening should include a Mai Tai made by Johnny at Leilani's, just down the path at Whalers Village.

We had an excellent week on Maui! Even with a couple days of rain, the beauty of Kaanapali and the comfort of this condo made our stay fabulous. We relaxed, we played, we soaked up the sun, and just enjoyed our time there! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer condo with a perfect location!
Beautiful remodeled condo with a great view. The owners have provided everything you need and more. I would highly recommend this unit. This was my 7th trip to Maui and when I return I'll never want to stay anywhere else.

Well appointed condominium in a gorgeous setting overlooking beach, ocean, pool, koi pond and mts.
Perfect for us. Separate bathrooms always appreciated. Very adequate space for two adults with artful use of mirrors adding to that impression.
Enjoyed the lanai for coffee, breakfast, reading, whale watching and sunsets. Easy walk to Leilani’s, Hula Grill, Monkeypod, etc. and a short drive to Safeway, Foodland, Barnes and Noble, Roy’s, Pacific O’s and Longhi’s. Nice pool, jacuzzi and outdoor grills. Sandy beach and hypnotic sound of the surf day and night. In summary, a perfect week in a very comfortable, attractively furnished and perfectly located Kaanapali oceanfront condominium home. Difficult to leave but “A hui hou”!
Inappropriate Review to follow
Ya want to know why you should not rent this place? So we can have it whenever we want! The Place really blows....all you see out the window is panoramic view of the ocean and the waves crashing and the afternoon whales oh and of course the picturesque mountain views...pretty sure no one reading this wants that. The place is comfortable, so comfortable that you will probably spend all your time in the condo...see what I mean about not renting this place. It could ruin your whole Maui vacation. Hold ...hold...on. My wife is telling me to stop writing this review and rent the place for next year.
Really Nice unit and perfect location
We had been to Maui twice previously and this is by far the best spot for beach(more sand, no submerged rocks and smaller waves) and restaurants. The unit is renovated and looks like new, the carpets are clean and the bed is very comfortable. There were lots of towels and supplies and the owners instructions were very detailed and explained everything -there were no unpleasant surprises. Parking was usually available underground and if it was full (usually in the evening)then the other parking lot was very close.
