About Bryan Taylor
Bryan E. Taylor was born in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. I am employed at the island’s electrical company in the area of economic planning. I attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and completed my graduate studies at New England University in Armidale, Australia. My work assignments sometime involve traveling to the Caribbean and other parts of the world. My most recent trip to China included visits to the cities of Bejing, Chengdu and Shanghai. These travel experiences enable me to develop an even greater appreciation for the beautiful Bahama shores. When I am not attending church, gardening, reading, or watching television, I spend most of my time working with my fraternal organization and charities. I live in unit 1 and unit 2 is the rental unit.
Why Bryan Taylor chose New Providence
I grew up in eastern New Providence and have watched the developments of the eastern part of the island. After work I enjoy walking the eastern broadwalk and jogging the rolling hills of nearby. Needing to make an investment I purchase the vacant property in 1996, which has now been established as vacation rentals. It is my wish that the rentals will keep me active during my retirement years. The charm of the property is its location - at a junction of Prince Charles and Adam Street two minutes from Yamacraw Beach. Security screens and alarms secure the property. Why rent you ask? Two minutes walk to the beach; enjoyment of the sunrise and watching the waves roll in at sunset and high tide made it worth while. You can walk the boardwalk after work and at low tides stroll the reef and pick up tiny little sea animals and shells along the way. 'The times spent near the eastern foreshore, I would not trade for anything in the world”

Very nice home seconds from the beach...Bryan was very nice and accommodating to any of our request.
Spacious/Quiet Villa away from Downtown Congestion
This was our family's first trip to the Bahamas and our family of 5 enjoyed this villa which had plenty of space. There were an abundance of towels and toiletries available. It was great having the beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear to include fins, and a cooler available for use. Excellent WIFI. And having individual air conditioners in each bedroom was great for everyone to set their own temperature level and fan speed. Felt safe in this neighborhood and having a security system added to our peace of mind.
Since most downtown shops close around 6pm, except for bars, it was nice that this villa is about 4 miles from downtown to get away from the noise and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Having a rental car for this location is almost a must. Driving on the left is another adventure in itself. And it is so easy to get to every where you want to visit by car. Be sure to plan ahead for weekday traffic in the mornings and evenings and give yourself plenty of time to get to where you need to go.
Bryan was a great host. Before arriving he sent us directions via the scenic route from the airport to the villa. He met us at the villa upon our arrival. He had a list of recommended restaurants to try in Nassau (which were great) and told us where the closest grocery store and pharmacy where. Upon departure he gave us directions to the airport.
My family and I stayed at this lovely property from July 30th-August 6th, 2015 and it was absolutely wonderful. The photos online truly capture the exquisiteness of this rental property: stunning lacquered hardwood floor and ceiling, a spacious kitchen with adequate utensils that allowed us to cook full meals, and well decorated dining and living rooms on the first level. Upstairs is a huge master bedroom, plus two other spacious bedrooms with queen and double twin beds. The entire house was very clean! And if you’re not yet sold, here’s the kicker: there were souvenirs on every bed for the taking.
The house is located in a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood, with the beach just five minutes away. Others have complained about dogs barking at nights and disturbing their rest, but we heard no dogs, and we not have noticed anyway because we were busy soaking up the awesomeness of this locale. This property is at the farthest eastern end of the island, but don’t let this point on the map discourage you, for the island is only about 21 miles in length - east to west. Everything is within a 5-10 minutes drive (supermarkets, pharmacies, fast food, hospital/clinic, etc.).
Internet at the house allowed me to communicate back home via Skype and WhatsApp, which was very useful. Bryan was also gracious in allowing us to host a small gathering at the house to celebrate my uncle’s 60th birthday (that in itself speaks volumes).
You definitely need a rental if you’re going to stay here, for there is no “reliable” bus service from this end. I would recommend renting from one of the US-based rental car companies—they are so much cheaper than the local ones. Once you get your rental from the airport, take the northern coast for a scenic route to the house – it took me 25 minutes (a straight drive once on the coast…awesome!!).
Bryan, thanks for a lovely stay and for your generosity outside of the confines of our rental contract, and for allowing me to raid one of your coconut trees out back and rid it of about 20 water coconuts (that’s an $80 value in Nassau). Climbing that coconut tree took me back to my childhood days in the countryside of Guyana.
We’ll be back!
Thanks again from the Pluck family.
Prince Adam Villa
We visited Nassau from Dec. 30 to Jan. 5 and had a wonderful trip. Two families shared this villa and it easily accommodated us. The villa was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the kitchen was stocked with the basics for cooking. The location is away from the tourist areas and easy to find. You will definitely need a car at this location. Learning to drive on the left was fun, and we enjoyed exploring around the island. Yamacraw Beach, a 2 minute walk from the villa, is lovely and the water is shallow for quite a ways making it perfect for smaller children. Parts of the beach are a bit trashy and could use some clean up. There are small packs of dogs that do roam around the neighborhood (we saw this all over the island), but we found them to be non-aggressive.
Suggestions: TV in 3rd bedroom, larger bed and chair in master, and more dishes and glasses.
We had such a good time and none of us were ready to go home. We were very happy with Brian and this villa. Much better than a hotel and we would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for your review and glad that you enjoyed your stay at Prince Adam Villas. The beach at Yamacraw has sea weeds that appears to be trash but comes in with the tides during the winter months and are gone during the springs.
Regrettably are pet laws are not fully enforced and guests and vrbo renters in the area who are pet lovers enjoyed and encourage their presence.
Whilst we made an exception and allowed two families the villas are designed for six. Again, thank you - for your suggestion in regards to beds and chairs and will be given priority during the summer.
Prince Adam Villa
We just returned on Dec 22 from visiting the Bahamas for the first time. We are a family of five with grown children so the usual hotel room is just too cramped so we have sought our VRBOs for the last number of years.
From the moment we began our inquiry to the time we left Bryan was always responsive and handled our questions very well. We truly enjoyed staying in this spacious condo with all the amenities we needed including a BBQ on the back patio. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of condo island (Paradise Island) you may want to consider this location. You will want to pick up a rental car so you can get to restaurants or the Super Value grocery store just up the road.
Even though this condo is on the eastern most tip of New Providence, it is just a little drive along Eastern Road and $1 for the bridge, to get to Cabbage beach on Paradise Island. We tried other beaches, but this was the best by far for cleanliness, spaciousness, better waves and deep sand.
My only suggestion is to sleep with the windows closed and use the air-conditioning as there seems to pet dogs that wander around at night serenading the moonlight (not the owners fault). After a couple of nights we got used to it, but if you are a lighter sleeper just take my first suggestion.
This was our first trip to Nassau and it is very much like other Caribbean Islands we have also enjoyed. Unfortunately a week was too short, but sometimes that is better than nothing at all.
Thanks again, Bryan - the coconuts which fell on the ground in the back yard were very tasty.
Prince Charles Pradise
I rented Prince Charles Villia for a 7 day vacation/ husband birthday trip. The town home was very spacious for my family of 4. Well decorated and clean, nice location just across the street from the beach. I walked to the beach every morning @6:20 to watch the sun raise just breath taking....Brain was very helpful with suggestion on where to go and were to eat. But I must mention the Marty Q docks if you don't mind cooking on vacation go down to the docks and buy some fish and crabs and enjoy your fest. A rent a Car is a must have at this location. All in all I will definitely come back to Nassua and stay at Prince Charles Villia..We just LOVED it !!!!
Hello Sharonda its nice chatting with you and your family and happy to read that you got an opportunity to visit Montagu Docks where fresh seafoods can be brought daily. Don't hesitate to email when planning your vacation for the Bahamas again.
