1 King, 2 doubles, plus a queen sleeper sofa can sleep up to 8 (maximum occupancy is 2 adults per bedroom). The screened-in patio with bay view offers a natural place to relax and enjoy your favorite beverage and the sunrise or sunset. Or just stay in the master and enjoy the view through the large windows from the king-sized bed. The kids will love nearby Jolee Island, the Village playground and activities, and many fishing holes.
By renting “by owner” you will not get a resort amenities card, but you will pay less than half the rate vs. renting from the resort. We provide 2 adult bikes, a beach set-up (umbrella and chairs) and beach toys free of charge. There is a public tram stop at the nearby Horseshoe Bayou parking lot to and from the Village, but we have found it quicker to just walk (15-20 minutes) or ride our bikes (10-12 minutes) to the Village. You can also drive there, but parking can be scarce during peak times. We do not have a golf cart. You will have access to the beach and to 2 of the heated resort pools, but not the beachside pool area. Other resort amenities (e.g., tennis, golf, fitness center, kayak or canoe rental, wave runner rental and parasail rides) can be purchased at the rates available to the public, which are marginally higher than the resort guest rates.

I have been coming to Destin since I was a small child, literally before there was any development. Things have changed over the years, but the beach remains the most beautiful that I've experienced (and we've been to beaches from Australia to Hawaii to the West Coast to the Mediterranean). We've been coming to Sandestin for about 20 years to enjoy its unique combination of beach, bay, nature, activities and amenities. We finally fulfilled our dream of owning in Sandestin in 2009.

Why Owner chose Sandestin
We discovered Heron Walk a few years ago, and have not rented anywhere else in Sandestin since. Its central location provides easy access from the resort entrance and close proximity to the beach, Village, Bayside and Grand Boulevard. The bay view across the saltwater marsh is peaceful and natural. It is quiet and perfect for families. All this, but at a lower rate than you pay for water views on the beachside or bayside.
What makes this Condo unique
The kids enjoy playing on the grassy area in front of our condo. There is almost no traffic, as we are at the end of the private Heron Walk parking lot. We sometimes walk about 5 minutes to get on the free Sunshine Shuttle van to the Village at the public parking lot tram stop ('Horseshoe Bayou Parking') down a little and across the street. You cannot ride the rest of the tram system without an amenities card.

Totally fit our every need—perfect for us!
We truly enjoyed our stay here! Such a beautiful condo sitting in the midst of a beautiful beautiful property. We enjoyed the many different things close by to do and wonderful walking paths right on the complex. My grandsons also enjoyed exploring and catching the many available lizards. Very relaxing location-highly recommend!

WEDDING TRIP/SUPER NICE CONDO
Condo is very nice, very comfortable and a great location. It is close to the entrance and within walking distance to the pool. It was extremely clean, the kitchen very well stocked and has a beautiful view from the screened porch. The owner, Mary, is very easy to work with. The condo is spacious and has everything you need. The location of the condo is also nice as it is at the very end of the building and on the second floor providing a little more privacy. I would highly recommend staying here as it is a great value for the price. We have stayed at numerous places in Heron Walk and it is one of the nicest. The wifi is a bit undependable, as we could not connect to the unit wifi. Mary suggested using the Heron Walk wifi, which worked, however, would not hold a connection. The ice maker does not work well, so we just used bagged ice, but I definitely would stay here again. Thanks for sharing your property with us!!
Thanks for the heads-up on the WiFi and the ice maker. We adjusted the WiFi router and had the ice maker repaired when we were there for Thanksgiving.
Wonderful condo and location
We enjoyed our stay here very much! The condo was roomy and had everything we needed. View was spectacular and we enjoyed using the bikes as well! Mary was wonderful to deal with! Thanks for sharing your property with us! We hope to come back again!
Lovely clean Condo
We booked last minute and Mary was vey accommodating to us. We stayed 4 nights over Christmas break this condo was lovely and clean and perfect location for all local activities.
The only down side was the weather it was terrible but we made the most of it and still enjoyed our vacation.
We really enjoyed staying at this condo. Mary was very responsive and the condo was very clean and close to everything. Can't wait to come back!
The Village of Baytowne Wharf hosts many free and fee-based events and activities during the summer and holidays.
