This spacious condo is just 1/2 block from the beach. You don't even have to cross the street - you only have to cross the dune. The protected beach, at the southern-most tip of New Jersey, has calm waters that are safe for swimming and rarely crowded. Cape May Point is an exclusively residential community with very little traffic that is ideal for walking and biking.

The apartment is a comfortable, immaculately clean, 1350 sq. ft. ground-floor condominium. A large, fully-equipped, modern kitchen and spacious dining room with table that seats six or more, will make staying at home for dinner - even on vacation - attractive. As an alternate, you can barbeque outside on the patio and dine at the picnic table, next to the beautiful gardens and large lawn.

Large windows line three sides, providing views of the endless variety of migratory birds by day, and allowing cross-breezes and the sound of breaking ocean waves by night. For those hot, humid days, turn on the new, powerful central air conditioning.

The building was built in the late 1880's and served as the dining hall for the Sea Grove Camp Meeting Association of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Over 100 years, It changed hands several times until Elisabeth Parsons, a professional landscape designer, bought the run down building in 1986. She painstakingly renovated the gardens and the building and sold each apartment to the families who still own them today. After her death in 1996, Tina and Phil Ragozzino, Elisabeth's daughter and son-in-law, acquired apartment #6.

Lovely beach cottage!

We absolutely loved our stay in Cape May Point! It is such a cute neighborhood with an amazing, not crowded, and beautiful beach! The unit itself is even larger and nicer than the pictures show! We had plenty of space for a girls getaway and the kitchen and apartment were stocked with everything we needed! It is less than 5 minutes from the door to toes in the water and the views are gorgeous. The beds were all very comfortable and the place was clean. Highly recommended and the owner was very flexible and easy to work with! The outdoor eating area is like a secret garden and nothing could have been better!

Great Beach Rental

This is a fantastic place to spend a week at the shore. The apartment is on a very pleasant street maybe 30 yards from the beach entrance. The neighborhood is residential so it is much quieter than Cape May. The beach is lovely, on the bay side with quieter water than off of Cape May so it is great for swimming. The apartment is quite large, not at all clostrophopic. It is comfortably and tastefully furnished. The kitchen equipment is very adequate. One activity we really enjoyed was taking our bikes on the nearby Cape May-Lewes Beach ferry ($28 round trip for 2). There is a beautiful bike trail in nearby Henlopen State Park which goes through the marshes on the way to Rehoboth Beach. DL. Only negative was the need to bring towels and linens. The extra packing space required for this is a little inconvenient.

An amazing place!

This property is immaculate, the pictures are actually nice but when you are there, the place is much nicer, open & has such a nice airy feel. It is literally steps from the beach and you wake up every morning to the sounds of birds in the courtyard. it is quite lovely and relaxing. The owner is very attentive to detail and answers all concerns pretty fast. I would definitely return and recommend this property to others.

'Tis Folly to Pass on This Place

This is a fantastic place! Over the years we had rented places in the Cape May Point area, and I would always walk past Parson's Folly and think, "I want to stay there some time" - cool name, nice looking place, great location. So we finally got there, and it exceeded my expectations and was wonderful.

The pictures gave us an idea of what Parson's Folly #6 was like, but it is even better than that. It was the cleanest place we have ever rented. The rooms are large and airy. No small kitchen where only one person fits. It is large and well stocked - knives that are sharp, ample pots with correct lids, a coffee grinder (what a bonus!), the fastest electric stove I have ever seen, a dish washer! The dining room and living room are spacious and comfortable. Again you don't feel confined.

The grounds are beautifully kept, and the arbor out back is a relaxing place to sit in the shade.

We were there during an extremely hot spell, and yet we were able to keep the unit cool and comfortable.

It is only two houses away from the dunes and the beach, where we went to watch beautiful sunsets, go for strolls, and see the occasional dolphin.

Cape May Point is a great community, which provides peace and quiet while also being very close to Cape May and all its activities and restaurants. (By the way, Cape May Stage is a great local theater.)

We came to Parson's Folly to celebrate Father's Day, our anniversary, and my birthday. It was a glorious week made better by our stay at Parson's Folly. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had and were extremely helpful. We recommend Parson's Folly #6 without reservation and are looking forward to staying there again.

Returning to a Childhood Memory

My sister and I wanted to surprise our parents, now in their mid-80s, by returning to a place where we had enjoyed so many summer vacations a long, long time ago. From 1959-1967, we would stay in a structure known as the Mary Ann Apartments. To our delight, we found that the building is still standing and now called Parsons Folly. We loved Parsons Folly! The apartment was clean, comfortable and appealing. The place had been modernized, but it still had a warm feel of "yesterday." We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the serenity and the short walk to the beach. The four of us treasured every moment and we will cherish our stay for the rest of our days. The owner was very kind and accommodating. We look forward to returning to Parsons Folly in the very near future.
