About the property

5 Bedrooms, 3 baths. Sleeps 12 in beds, Maximum 14. Has tram to house on water

True Lake Front Living! This spacious 5-bedroom, 3 bath home sits right on the water's edge, providing stunning, wrap-around views and easy lake access for the whole family... you could practically fish from the living room!

A newly installed tram makes access and loading and unloading a dream.

Location is incredibly important on the lake, and you could easily find yourself driving 45 minutes down a treacherous road only to find your vacation spot in the shadowed areas with murky water and only a few hours of sun. Not here! Located squarely on the tip of coveted English Point, this home is just 5 minutes from the Hayden Lake Country Club and 10 minutes to I 95. More importantly, you will enjoy all-day sun, expansive views, and deep, clean sea-weed free water for swimming and boating. Pull your boat or jet skis into the covered boat dock, complete with swim ladders and a diving board. Plus a canoe, paddle boat, float tube, life jackets and inflatable water toys are all provided for your lake experience.

Once you've enjoyed a perfect day on the lake, you can sit and enjoy the sunset from any deck or patio, or strike up the BBQ for outdoor cooking. You can also enjoy the lake view from almost any room indoors as well,, including the open kitchen, which is well equipped and ideal for entertaining. With five bedrooms (three with king beds, two with queen beds) plus a den, there's room and privacy for the whole family, as well as activities for all including three TV's, a DVD library, board games, even a piano!

You'll be just 15 minutes to Silverwood Theme Park, 15 minutes to Downtown Coeur d'Alene, and 5 mintues from two stunning golf courses, which will keep you from spending time in the car when you'd rather be on the dock!

Please feel free to call or email with questions, or to make your reservations.

THANK YOU!

This place is wonderful! We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days and never got tired of the gorgeous view. The place was a bit tricky to find, but we couldn't be happier that it's literally just a few steps to the lake, and the tram was a huge help loading our stuff down, but the stairs were a good work out too!:) The house was very spacious, with a cabin-like feel. All other amenities and swimming equipment were helpful. We especially loved the dock and diving board! Definitely recommend to friends and family members! Can't wait for us to make another trip to this place.

Fabulous stay...

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from 8 days at this rental and we fell in love with it! As others have said, there are a lot of stairs to get down to the house, but a tram is being put in, so that will make it easier to access the house without climbing all the stairs. I will say, we did get a good workout with going up/down the stairs several times a day. The PLUS of the stairs is that you are right down at the water and it was so nice to be close. We had 9 in our group (family), with our kids and granddaughters. We spent many evenings on the deck or the dock, enjoying the beauty of the lake and the serenity...it was awesome! Our family actually has a cabin about half a mile down the road, but with a family reunion/wedding, we needed more room and I'm so happy to have found this place...everyone had their own room which made it nice for peace and privacy. We had family come down for some meals who also loved the place as much as we did. We will most certainly return again, having the room for our family and being close to our family cabin made it a perfect vacation!! Ramona was great to deal with and quick to respond in the process of getting everything arranged! An A+ place!!

Beware treacherous stairs and long steep traverse down to the front door until tram is installed!

  • 3 of 5

This house is truly lovely and comfortable... once you get down the stairs to get into the house! Not recommended for older, less stable people, like my 75-year old mom who we took with us not knowing this would be an issue. The owner (who is awesome) told me she's scheduled to install a tram, but that was after my stay. Check first for sure if you plan to stay with older or younger people who may be wobbly down steep stairs.

Other than that, this house is perfect for larger families and the only one that's situated down at the water's edge (thus the stairs down). Although it's outdated in decor and furnishings, almost everything was in working order (toilet plugged, coffee machine overflowed:o) and everything was clean and comfortable. The beds are SUPER comfortable! There are views from so much of the living space in the house you feel like you've really gotten away somewhere special. Best of all, Ramona the homeowner is an absolute delight to interact with. There only needs to be more warning of the steep stairs one cannot avoid going down to get into the house until the owner installs the tram to get down. Smaller children and older, more frail adults beware.

We highly recommend this English Point home

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home from a delightful week on Hayden Lake. This home is really set up for families and comfortable groups. It is a true 5 bedroom and 3 full baths home with all the comforts. We rented a large pontoon boat and the dock accommodated it easily. Our group just loved the place. The diving board in the private swimming area kept the kids entertained for hours! We are already planning a return trip! Yes, there are a steps in and out, as others have pointed out, but this is a small and minor inconvenience for the reward awaiting you by being right "on" the water! We loved the comforts of home here. It was like staying at a friends place for the week. We appreciate Ramona and her family opening their home to our family. We feel they went out of their way to make sure we had a rewarding time. If you're looking for a true Idaho experience and actually living on the lake, this is it! The place is secluded and private and we appreciated that too! The location at English Point is premium and just 5 minutes from Hayden Lake Country Club. This wonderful home was just what we were hoping for. It turned out to be so much more than any expectation we had. We'll be back and not soon enough!

Family Vaca

  • 5 of 5

14 of us, ranging from 2 months to 56 years, every one had a blast and loved the house!

As to the previous post, yes there are stairs down to the house (79 not 84, yes I counted!), however, once you are at the house, you are on the lake, so you have full use of the house facilities and you can be close to kids on the dock while enjoying the nicely shaded deck and yard. Fishing was great, everyone who dropped a line caught a fish! The TV didn't get turned on at all, that is how much we enjoyed it!

Ramona was on top of everything, including showing up with a plumber at 9pm on Friday when unexpected (and totally out of any ones control) issues came up.

We are already planning our return trip for next year, and no one wants to even consider any other house.

Disappointed

  • 1 of 5

Upon arriving discovered that there were approximately 84 steps down to the property from the parking lot over very rickety stairs having to carry all of our supplies. After spending a few days we discovered there were mice in the house. We set traps and ending up exterminating 10 mice. I have stayed in several accommodations with VRBO and would not stay here again ever or recommend!

Owner's Response: Scott, I am so sorry for the issue with the mice. As I indicted when the issue arose, our family had just stayed at the house and there were no mice. Apparently, a momma mouse had gotten into the house with comings and goings of lots of people and made her nest under a dresser. Once the mom was killed in the trap, all the babies started coming out. I know that is not a good thing. We got the pest control people out immediately and set up professional traps outside the house. They are monitoring regularly. When you live in the country, you have pests and we always have wasp spray, mouse traps, etc. on hand. I do not want mice in my home and no one likes a disappointing review. So trust me, I am diligently managing this issue. We have repeat visitors coming back this summer and always try to make everyone's stay as fun and carefree as possible. Each year we make some upgrades to the house.
