About The Owner

We live in Montgomery, Texas north of Houston. Our boys are grown and we have two grandchildren who we adore. We love to vacation with our family and friends and the Colorado summers are much cooler than Texas.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2012

Why The Owner chose Lake City

We visited Lake City a couple of times and knew this was the place we wanted to buy a vacation home. The beauty of mountains, the beautiful river and lakes for fishing, the many outdoor activities to enjoy, and the friendly people. There are recreational activities throughout the year for all ages.

What makes this cabin unique

We love sitting on the deck and watching the different wildlife that come through our property. From deer to bear to is truly breathtaking.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We used this cabin for a corporate event, which was a huge success. The cabin is amazing and everyone was so comfortable. It had great amenities, was very clean and well maintained. The view was absolutely breath taking. We would love to come back to Lake City, and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing beautiful place to stay!

We love staying at the Green's Cabin. We have stayed there numerous times. It has everything you would need, plus extras, but the best thing about the cabin is the view. You can see the mountains whatever direction you look. When you sit on the deck you can hear the river, and you can smell the aspens and pine trees. There is plenty of wild life to see. We always see the deer come strolling by, and we have even seen bears a few times.

The kitchen has everything you need to fix meals, the beds sleep wonderfully, the cabin is big enough that there's room for everyone.

Tannah Snow the property manager and the cleaning crew do a wonderful job, the house is always spotless. For a house this size you can't find a cobweb anywhere.

The town of Lake City has many excellent restaurants to eat at if you don't want to cook.

We love this cabin and look forward to staying here again.

Wonderful every year

  • 5 of 5

We always have such a wonderful time in your cabin. It accommodates our family of ten in every way. It is so well equipped, we never need anything but our groceries and clothes. Staying two weeks in a comfortable cabin makes our stay seem too short. The family always enjoys the fly fishing, exploring, ice cream, putt putt and bingo. Then we come back and play forty two. Thank you, Larry and Patti, for sharing your cabin with us.

Awesome Cabin with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

This cabin more than exceeded my families expectations. My wife, our two grown daughters, my son and his wife had plenty of room to spread out. We even had one bedroom we didn't sleep in. The open concept on the main floor and the wrap around deck allowed us to have plenty of guest over to enjoy hanging out as well. Morning coffee on the deck looking out at the mountains was the best! There is nothing we would change about the cabin and look forward to coming back again.

Breathtaking Views

  • 5 of 5

My family was out and about doing things, but my job was to stay behind to babysit, cook, and clean. I didn't mind it one bit in this picturesque location. Besides the wonderful views, the cabin itself was spectacular. You, too, will be glad you stayed here.
