Our cottage built in the 1930s has distinctive character. Wildflower Cottage rests atop a hill with westerly views of Boyden Lake and to the east across fields of wildflowers and our farm. One room has a double bed, loft with two twin beds, and a third single bed on the wrap around porch (linen and bedding included). More information about our other cottage may be found on our website listed below.
Kendall Farm has been in our family for five generations. We have a large beautiful organic vegetable and flower garden, raspberry and wild Maine blueberry patches and an apple orchard available for visitors in season. The 200-year old cape homestead and one of the largest original barns in Washington county are important structures on our farm. The Bugbees and Goldings built cemeteries on the property that date back to the early 1800s and are a treat for individuals interested in genealogy. We are honoring this legacy by sharing our cottages and home with you in a way that preserves this beautiful environment and our family history.
Our location offers easy day trips to Cobscook State Park, Moosehorn National Wildlife Reserve, St. Andrews-by-the-Sea and Campobello, Canada, Eastport, Lubec and Sipayik, Passamaquoddy Indian reservation. We are also centrally located to three golf courses and a rich tour of local fine artisans and an abundance of other natural wonders of the area including the highest tides in the world and the Old Sow, the largest whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere.
Or you can simply swim in the lake, swing in a hammock, read a book and listen to the loons and watch for soaring bald eagles while you relax, refresh and rejoice.

Why Owner chose Robbinston
As the 5th generation Kendall on Kendall Farm, Perry is my home. I spent summers as a child with my parents, family and friends frolicking in the riley waters of Boyden Lake. I enjoyed swimming, frogging, fishing, snorkeling, jumping off the raft, swinging in our hammock, and running up the hill to help my grandmother weed and pick vegetables out of her garden followed by Gram's delicious homemade doughnuts. We spent evenings playing Scrabble and card games. We spent quality time together just enjoying each other as I hope our guests will do with their family and friends.
What makes this Cottage unique
We call Perry, Perrydise and it feels like it every time I drive down the maple lined driveway. I look out across the lake and watch the sun transform the sky with bold colors of pink, orange, yellow, and purple and I know I really am in a place of peace and love and beauty. My favorite place on earth is here at Kendall Farm after so many years traveling the world. My family and I enjoy hosting people who appreciate what we are doing to preserve the history of our land and ancestors while treading lightly on our environment, the lake and the land.

A Lovely Way to Unplug and Relax!
Kendall Farm Cottages are lovely. We were made very welcome by both Georgie and Bill (and Seamus, too!) and enjoyed our stay very much. I especially loved no television, telephone or internet in our cottage! It is very rustic, charming and a very happy place to be. Beautiful, too, and located centrally to points of interest in Downeast Maine.
Thank you! We enjoyed hosting your family. We were tickled by the lovely drawing of the cottage in our guestbook and the magnetic letter note! Hope you will all return again next year!
A family tradition continues
My family and I have been coming to Kendall Farm since the mid 1980's when Georgie's Gram Leona lived on the farm. We fell in love with the lake, the cottage, the loons and Eagles. We spent hours playing board games, swimming and boating. My son learned to sail on the lake and later learned to drive on Kendall Lane! Now in our 70's my husband and I returned in August after many years . Georgie continues to host guests in the two classic cottages! Wildflower was ready and filled with fresh farm flowers on our arrival. Georgie has a wealth of knowledge about the area and will help you plan day trips if you can tear yourself away from the lake. When you enter the farm grounds, see the lake and breathe the pine and flower scented air you will unwind, slow down and relax and start planning for your next visit.

The best place to unwind
This is real Maine. No fancy furniture, no LL Bean, no lace-edged towels or shiny faucets. Just a beautiful rustic cottage outfitted simply with all you need to enjoy the pleasures of Down East -- the food, the serenity of Boyden Lake, the bold coast hiking, the lobster and all the rest. The proprietess is generous with her garden, her spice rack and her vast appreciation and knowledge of the area. A wonderful spot for a summer vacation. Don't forget a daily dose of the hammock!
Peaceful Lakeside Cottage
We were looking for a lakeside cottage that was also accessible to the ocean in Downeast Maine. Watercress Cottage offered that in a beautiful, peaceful setting on Boyden Lake. We were welcomed on arrival by our friendly host, Georgie, and her two pet ducks, Garlic and Dill. In our rustic cottage, there were colorful bouquets of flowers, a jar of homemade jam, and a bottle of Georgie's concord grape wine awaiting us. The cottage was clean and comfortable and practically on the water. During the day we had access to a canoe, a quiet dock to sit and read at our leisure, and warm, clear lake water to swim in. At night, we roasted marshmallows while listening to the loons and gazing at the stars. There are many daytime destinations within an hours drive of the cottage for sightseeing, hiking, dining, and even golfing at the eastern most golf course in the US in Calais. We travelled into Canada a few times as well, and especially enjoyed our trips to Campobello and St. Andrews. We will definitely be back! This is an ideal place to enjoy the peace of the lake, with the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beauty of Downeast Maine.
Pure and Simple Bliss
We chose to spend our Honeymoon at Boyden Lake on Kendall Farm in Perry, Maine.
Looking for a quiet getaway with privacy and beautiful surroundings we were drawn in by the photo of Wildflower Cottage. We actually booked our stay at Watercress Cottage because Watercress was not available....we arrived in the pitch black of night and were greeted by twinkling lightening bugs, crooning loons and an insatiable curiosity of what daylight would bring. When we awoke, our hearts were smiling. The beauty of the day brought us a crystal clear glistening lake, steps from our cottage, two whimsical ducks (Garlic and Dill) greeting us with a morning "hello" and so much to explore on and off the property. Our cottage offered charm and comfort, our deck and dock offered us a meditative sense of joy to be so closely intertwined with the beauty of nature.
Our lovely host, Georgie, offered us a home away from home that we could barely bring ourselves to leave at the end of the week. We drove back to Connecticut and chatted the entire way about how truly blissful the week was. We can honestly say, this was the best week of our lives. (and it wasn't just the honeymoon talking!)
We will be back over and over again, leaving may only get harder and harder :)
Relaxing retreat with a great host
We stayed in the Watercress cabin for almost a week. Upon arrival we found the cottage was well kept, with comfortable furnishings perfect for the lakeside setting. The colorfully painted floors added to the cheeriness of the cabin, as did the flowers that Georgie had left in a vase by the door. She noted the cottage had been similarly furnished as she was a child growing up and the energy of the place makes clear that a lot of good times have been had within its walls. We took the canoe out on the lake, sat near the dock late in the day, wandered around the property, and took Georgie's recommendation for a short nearby hike. Numerous day trips are easily done but the best part of this place is simply spending time relaxing in the cottage. It is definitely a retreat in a special place.
