About Adriane Hauck

My husband and I loved vacationing in Grand Lake, so we decided to make the move permanent and moved here in 1996. We are full time residences with two daughters. We hope that others will enjoy the small town charm that Grand Lake has to offer. What a great place to enjoy the outdoors!

Cosy Cabin, walk to downtown

  • 4 of 5

I liked the cabin and the inside is very nice. I give it four, mainly because it does not have a fireplace as the description says. We stayed in October, when nighttime temps get into the the low 30's, and I was looking forward to sitting in front of the fire with my honey; I would not have chosen this cabin for this one reason. To be fair, it has an electric faux fireplace - not the same. The electric heat is mounted on the walls, near the ceiling, so bring your slippers if you are staying in cool weather.

Great Cabin in a Great Spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay in this cozy little cabin in Grand Lake! The cabin was very clean, well maintained, and fully furnished (down to the corkscrew we forgot!).

The location is great. Along Portal road on the edge of Grand Lake Village. You're just a couple miles from the west entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and we much preferred the Grand Lake side (with the numerous elk and moose sightings) to the Estes Park side.

Very Cute Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

Great location close to town, comfortable and well maintained and would easily go back. Just a suggestion that a candle or flashlight would be handy if power goes out.

Owner's Response: Sorry about the power. We have had a lot of thunderstorms lately. Not the end of the summer I hope. I will add a flashlight. I hope other than that you enjoyed your visit.

Gem of a rustic cabin hidden in the aspen trees

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this cabin within walking distance to the "downtown" area of Grand Lake. So convenient to everything you may need and within a few miles of RMNP entrance. The cabin was immaculate and decorated in a rustic cabin style that was charming and comfortable. Linens and towels were provided and the kitchen was equipped with most everyday items that you would need. Queen bed was comfortable. Even though tihe cabin is close to the road, we heard nothing at night. Great selection of DVDs if you're looking for a good flick in the evenings. We even had a mule deer that was waiting for us under the front deck the first two evenings there. Quite a sight to see! We were very happy we chose this place and we highly recommend for any small group planning a visit to Grand Lake. Thank you to our hosts for sharing your lovely cabin in the aspens!
