Condo, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps up to 5)
When the developer built this 18 unit condominium in 1973, he saved this unit for his family. One look will tell you why. It is the largest unit in the complex and is wonderfully spacious and open. Newly redecorated in 2010 in seaside colors, our unit provides a roomy, calm environment. You will instantly feel at home.
The view from this second floor unit is spectacular.
The living room has a soaring 18 ft ceiling and an adjoining lanai that features a panoramic view of the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i and the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. The large sectional couch is a sofa-bed.
The large lanai has plenty of room for afternoon sunning or outside dining for four. Imagine breakfast on the lanai watching the whales breach offshore or having dinner or a drink while watching the sun set.
The well appointed kitchen has the same spectacular view as the living room. New fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave in 2010.
Above the kitchen and overlooking the living room is a sleeping loft with a Queen sized bed. At night, all you hear is the surf.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and plenty of closet space.
The bathroom consists of two rooms: one with a walk-in shower and toilet; and the other, with a large vanity and sink.
The grounds are beautifully maintained. Your lanai overlooks the pool which is steps away from the ocean and a beautiful lawn with plenty of lounge chairs. It's like having your own private yard. Great swimming, snorkeling and surfing are right offshore.

About Don Cameron
We're a family of five who love Maui. The Hawaiian culture and history make it exotic, yet it has all the facilities of home, which makes it instantly familiar.
Don Cameron purchased this Condo in 2010
Why Don Cameron chose Honokowai
Our family has been coming to Hoyochi Nikko since the place was built. We're second-generation owners. Hoyochi Nikko is a 'Goldilocks' place: not too big and not too small - just right. It is a jewel. The atmosphere is friendly. The Managers, Allyn & Melody, are welcoming and are Hoyochi Nikko's greatest ambassadors.
What makes this Condo unique
Most Thursday evenings at sunset, weather permitting, Allyn & Melody host a gathering at poolside with appetizers (pupus). Everyone is welcome. Bring your own drink. Extra beach chairs, noodles and boogie boards are available for you to use.

My favorite place to stay in Maui
This condominium checks all the boxes and more so! Fabulous location, wonderfully upgraded unit, and a resident manager that truly cares for the property! Many sea turtles swim offshore and sleep on the beach below. Easy access for swimming in the warm sea just down the stairs. I can't wait to return! And, the sunsets are the very best!
Gem of a find!
This was just a wonderful condo. It was clean, spacious, completely stocked with everything we needed for a week in Maui. The grounds were wonderful with a nice pool, grills, and a wonderful beach that was very private (although I understand the size of the beach varies at times). The owner communicated very well leading up to the trip and the on site manager gave a great Hawaii feel as you could tell he was in love with the place too. The lanai was very spacious as well and Thursday night Pupus (appetizers) with the other guests was a lot of fun and a nice personal touch. Great stay, we will look to book again for sure!
Little slice of Heaven
This is our third stay in Maui.
We ventured to Kihei side to see their "best beaches"...Makena had a surf advisory so the lifeguards didn't let us in the water. Yes it was beautiful but we all agreed..."let's go back to the condo"....the beach at Hoyochi Nikko is fabulous...last time we went there were 12 stairs...this time 3, so the sand goes up and down to the beach...it's so close and convenient when you need something from the condo; it's clean, safe, and private; and we could swim there even with the surf advisory-my kids even went to the ladder area to snorkel during the advisory-still tons of fish and turtles galore...best beach and snorkelling anywhere! It's important to have a nice sandy swimmable beach that's safe with great snorkelling.
The condo is a home away from home. Comfortable; quiet and safe. So much to explore so close, and easy access to TIMES for groceries...this time we did not overdo it at costco by the airport. We like to support TIMES and they really are reasonable prices with great selections. My husband thinks I should have shares in ABC stores bc I made a visit there each day. The local;selections; prices and handiness make them so great bc you ALWAYS forget one thing.
That view from the condo-so beautiful & relaxing that you take it for granted until the last day you have to leave. We watched turtles swim by the swimmers all the time from the lanai.
There is a great breeze from the front door at 5 everyday....so I left it open as I was making dinner...and my son said "mom, there's a chicken in here"....of course I rolled my eyes at him...but he wasn't kidding. Sitting on the chair at the table was a chicken. It made for a funny memory of a crazy mama chasing a chicken with the toilet brush out the condo....Do not leave the door open!
I love that the complex is secured; private; and clean.
We met so many people from around the world and it was fun sharing stories.
We star gazed each night from the lanai and listened to the sounds of the waves crashing to shore.
We bbq'd our meals each night; chatted with other guests; and enjoyed the most beautiful view ever!
We did Haleakala sunrise; the blowhole by Napili; Dragon's Teeth by Fleming Beach; north end drive; Makena Beach/Kihei; Kona; Baby Beach; but we always came back to our condo for the best beach; experience and fun!
Thank you Cameron family for 205 and the great memories it has given us!
We will be back!

Home away from home with outstanding ocean views and great location to all that is wanting.
Every aspect of our visit to Maui exceeded expectation. First of all Maui is a beautiful island with plenty of areas to explore. The area where the condo is located includes great seaside restaurants, services, grocery stores, tour and water activities and friendly locals. The condo itself is located in a small complex with a great pool only a few steps away from a warm and welcoming ocean. Large sea turtles (saw 7 or 8 every day) are a common sight, as well as, large whales provided you arrive in April or earlier. Sunsets are unbelievable and enhanced by the beautiful and large 2nd floor balcony.
The condo has been recently updated and is exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. We found that we were wanting for nothing and everything was exactly as described in the VRBO listing, and more. The constant breeze and low humidity were a bonus....only used the bedroom air conditioner 2 nights during the 21 days we were there....nothing like falling asleep to the sound of waves washing up on shore.
When we arrived, the condo was exceptionally clean with linens and towels above expectation. A grocery store is only a few minutes drive away, with the beautiful downtown of Lahaina another few short 5 miles south. Lahaina is a very interesting sea side community that offers plenty of things to do and restaurants to enjoy.
In summary the condo was great and situated in an area handy to many activities, culinary delights and entertaining shows. The owner was engaging and a delight to deal with. We were so impressed with this condo that we have booked for an extended period next year.
Best View in All of Maui
We could not believe our luck when we stumbled upon this unit for this price. At first we thought it was too big for just the 2 of us, but the price was so reasonable, we thought, why not live a little? And boy did we live! We had to laugh out loud when we saw the huge lanai with the panoramic postcard view in person. We felt like thieves that had just gotten away with something! The weather was so comfortably perfect. The first night, I stood on the balcony soaking in the dramatic full moon reflection dancing on the sea, the rumble of distant thunder behind us in the hills, and the flickering tiki torches accenting the mysterious scene, and I had to repeatedly pinch myself. This unit is the best front row seat to the best Broadway show you have ever seen. I haven't even mentioned the interior, which was everything you could hope for and more. I spent hours pouring over the Hawaiian coffee table books, using the binoculars to view massive whale flukes and splashes, and admiring the artwork and decor. This is how I would make my home, given the means. You will be ecstatic staying here, no question.
Absolutely Beautiful Condo in a Beautiful Spot!
We rented the condo for 9 days in April 2012 and it was the perfect vacation spot for us. It started when we walked in the door. The condo is decorated beautifully and so comfortable. Everything was spotless and it felt as if we were the first to use it. The view from the lanai - unbelievable! The description of the unit is accurate, and spot on in describing the amenities.
This condo building is a best kept secret. For most of the days we had a lot of beach and we spent most of our time there and in the water. This was our first visit to Maui and we had a lot of trips planned away from the condo. But we found that we enjoyed the quiet pool and beach area so much, we didn't want to leave. It was always clean and well maintained. Many times we were the only guests out there. Lots of snorkeling, paddle boarding, and boogie boarding out in front - it was the perfect spot. Everyday the turtles came to visit - a highlight of our day! We enjoyed the Thursday night get-together so much. The managers were friendly and very helpful. We met nice folks and enjoyed seeing them throughout our vacation. We will definitely be returning to this perfect condo.
Whale watching (in season - November to May) from the lanai. Sea turtles just offshore and sometimes on the beach out front.
