Home is located on the highly desirable South End of beach. Two public beach accesses one a spacious sandy path and the other a boardwalk for handicapped. Both are a short easy walk or lazy drive. The Sunset's Magnificent View, the Seashells Galore, and the tides flow parallel to the beach (which can make for safer swimming) make this area a marvel of beauty for young and old alike.
The 18 Hole Golf Course is Viewable from Behind the Home.

Our family vacationed at Edisto Beach for many enjoyable years. Our extended family grew leading to the purchase and expansion of our vacationing experiences and desires! Hence 'Ocean shade' was created!
We enjoy family, food, and fun. We play games especially half rubber (a baseball type game played on the beach and invented in Charleston, SC), jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and ghost crab hunting. We'll explain it all when you call!
This house is in need of some repairs and updates, fridge is not working properly,a/c needing replaced, television upstairs does not work, key has to be left under rug outside if more than one person staying because no spare, rates are higher than listed on VRBO. Won't be returning to stay at this house
We stayed here for spring break in April 2016. It was great. Very spacious and clean. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Just a short walk to the beach. Very peaceful and quite. Not alot for teens to do this time of year; so my boys brought video games and played alot of golf. Not alot of kids running around for them to hook up with but they still had a good time. We cooked in some and ate out some. We bought fresh shrimp from the local marina... small grocery store on the island but packed with alot of essential's. Of course it didn't have a deli or bakery. We also had bagels and coffee beach front one morning. That was nice. I will stay here again!!!
We have rented this house for the last six years or so.
The house is very well maintained, clean and confortable.
Located just one block from the beach it's perfect location for a relaxing stay.
I do love grilling under the palm trees, it's a great change from up North.
Equally since you are renting directly from the owner, it's easier to contact him should a problem occurs.
This house is ideal for families or couples. The kitchen is well stocked, the appliances work perfectly.
Though you have to go to Town Hall to get drinking water (it's close by), this is not a major problem.and you can go through the community bulletin board which let you know what's going on in town.
We plan to return, and return and return until the owner gets tired of us !!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in this home. Super clean, extremely roomy, and perfect location! It has all the comforts of home at your fingertips! I would highly recommend this property for your next stay at Edisto. The owner is super friendly and helpful. We are already planning on booking for next summer!
We enjoyed our stay, the guys loved how close it was to fishing and caught some shark which was tasty I must admit. Don't plan on using the hideabed because it is pretty much worn out along with the living room furniture, so we had to purchase an inflatable for the children. Water is not drinkable from the faucet due to salt content, but the city provides water a few blocks away. These are a couple of things you should know to enjoy your trip at Edisto Beach. The pictures do not do this house justice. It is a beautiful home. Just a quick walk to the beach. The porches were so relaxing! The flat screen TV and wireless internet help you stay connected. Very clean and spacious. And don't forget a relaxing soak in the jetted tub! The owner is very helpful and quickly got back to us with any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is planning a trip to Edisto!
