Harwichport Center with its many shops, restaurants and art galleries is a short drive. The Cape Cod Rail Trail and the Freedom Ferry to Nantucket are close by.
The house was immaculate and very true to the description on the listing. Very spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating throughout both the living room and den. Also, plenty of dining space with the breakfast bar, dining room table, and 2 outside tables. The screened-in porch was wonderful, and where we spent most of our evenings. We also found it very family friendly, well-equipped and easy! The neighborhood was perfect, very quiet, but so close to Harwichport shops, etc. as well as beaches. Our favorite Harwichport spots include Bonnatt's Bakery, The Hot Stove Saloon, and Reed Books. Although we have spent many summers at the Cape, this is the first year we visited Red River Beach, about 2 miles from the house. Great beach; super convenient, ample parking, and you do not feel like you are on top of other families. Joan is incredibly easy to work with and everything went off without a hitch. We would definitely recommend this house to family and friends, and hope to return next year ourselves!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home and would highly recommend it.
It was perfect for our needs and particularly appreciated:
- The large and open living, dining and kitchen area.
- Sun porch.
- Spacious rooms.
- Proximity to beaches and Harwich Port center.
- Outdoor shower.
- Large and high quality gas grill.
- Additional sitting room/den.
We were very happy with our stay in Harwich. True to the title, this home is immaculate and offers every amenity one would need for a family vacation on the cape! There was plenty of room for our extended family and, although it was sunny EVERY day...if it HAD rained we would have been very comfortable. It was nice to have enough space for all 7 of us. I would definitely recommend this rental and we hope to return another year!
First time staying at Surrey Lane. Very spacious home on a quiet, dead-end street. House is comfortable, clean and we enjoyed the private lot as its wooded in back. We previously stayed closer to a private beach and walked. While its a car drive to the beach from Surrey Lane, its not a problem as we loved having rest rooms and a short walk with our stuff which we didn't have at the private beach. Joan was easy to work with... overall a great time in Harwich this summer! We would definitely recommend this home.
Had a great holiday in Cape Cod! Harwich is a beautiful town with loads of lovely restaurants. Close to Hyannis and Barnstable where u can go whale watching or take the children on a pirate boat. Would highly recommend both. House was brilliant as there was loads of space so you didn't feel like we were living in each other's pockets (2 families). Everything was clean and they had loads of toys for the kids to bring to the beach! Lovely ice cream shop in Harwich.. They have every flavour covered! Will definitely be back!
Stayed here for the week of the 4th. House was as described, spacious and very clean. We kept a boat at the nearby Saquatucket Harbor Marina. Harwich is a great town with shops and restaurants. Easy access to Nantucket and the Vineyard by boat. The house has a grill and outdoor shower, along with a screened in porch. Summer down the Cape is the best! Would recommend renting this house to anyone.
