About The Owner

The Cabin at Lydia’s Canyon was constructed by its owners as a haven to escape the in-laws. Nathan grew up in the Lydia’s canyon area farming and ranching with family while Ramona spent her early years in Florida and moved to Glendale for her teenage years. The Property was purchased from Nathan’s Grandmother and plans to build a retreat began. With the designing abilities of Ramona and the skills of Nathan the cabin began to take shape. The logs were milled locally and the labor was performed by Nathan and Ramona’s families. The rock for the wainscoting is native stone gathered from Dry Wash (one mile south), and installed with the help of Nathan’s father.

The Cabin is accessible yet secluded and has been a favorite vacation spot for the Chamberlains for the past few years. The Chamberlain children enjoy playing in the pond and stream and watching the horses and cows graze across the canyon. Wildlife is harder to spot yet on occasion can be seen along with a few other wooded creatures that happen to find their way into the cabin.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2004

Great home near Bryce and Zion

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five stayed here for three nights while exploring Bryce and Zion. Great location - less than 1 hour away from each. Well equipped, nicely decorated, quiet, clean, and comfortable. We appreciated having a washer & dryer, and we loved eating our meals outdoors on the deck. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Excellent rental

  • 5 of 5

Well supplied, quiet, close proximity to the major parks in the area, as well as less busy, but just as interesting state parks. We enjoyed our stay very much. There are plenty of sundry items in the house not usually included in our usual packing list and a nice gas grill out back. Kitchen is well stocked and laundry detergents provided.

Hint: if you go to Zion get up early to get a parking space at the visitors center and hike up the Pa'rus trail to stop 3, it's a beautiful morning walk and you get to miss the giant line for the shuttles. There is plenty of water refill sites for camelbacks at the stops and it is ice cold. Have a great time.

Perfect Cabin/Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was conveniently located and easy to find, just off the highway. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was perfectly located to visit both Zion and Bryce Canyon parks, which was our goal. A tremendous bargain--you'll love it.

We enjoyed our stay so much and would like to return again. The cabin was so clean, fully stocked with anything you would need. The owners responded quickly to my emails. My daughter's loved having internet. Great location and wonderful owners.

Quiet, functional, and relaxed.

  • 5 of 5

Conveniently located, this VRBO was perfect for exploring Bryce Canyon and Zion. The drive back and forth to Zion is great, as pastries can be picked up along the way. Though located next to the highway, traffic noise isn't a concern. We spent 3 nights here and would stay again given the opportunity. Directions to the cabin were the only weak point. This was outweighed by having a washer and dryer to clean dirty clothes after a day of scampering around.

Great Location for National Park Visits!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is located in an area that makes it easy to get to three of the major parks...Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Staircase-Escalante. The cabin is cozy and has all the basics. The location is beautiful, with a pasture and mountains right outside the kitchen and living room windows. We chose this one over one that did not have Wi-Fi and we're glad we did as there is no cell phone service, but we were able to keep in communication with family back home. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.
