About The Owner

Owners are Karen and Dan Voss from Jacksonville, FL and Doug and Cathy Klink from Fishers, IN. Dan and Karen have been visiting Casuarina for years and Doug and Cathy came along for a visit. After that, we purchased our home together.

The Owner purchased this house in 2008

Why The Owner chose Bahamas

My husband, Dan has been visiting Casuarina Point for more than 30 years. This beach doesn't compare to any other. The calm waters allows for many activities. The reefs nearby are spectacular and allow for some of the most beautiful coral formations. We visit regularly and never tire.

What makes this house unique

Casuarina allows for almost anything you want from a beachfront home. Kayaking, snorkeling, shelling, fishing and more. In town are great restaurants, island hopping via ferry boats or rental boats. Deep sea fishing and diving outfitters are available. So may unique places to see.

Wonderful beach in paradise...perfect for a family looking to relax and have fun!

  • 4 of 5

My family of 6 had an amazing week at the Sugar Shack! There was enough room for all the kids to spread out, but we were hardly ever inside. We spent one night watching a movie, otherwise we were outside the entire day. We loved how the front porch provided perfect shade, while we could still watch the kids swimming and playing. The beach is perfect for walks, kayaking, paddle boarding, and checking out starfish and sand dollars! The house had everything we needed to be comfortable for the week and the beach can't be beat!

Great Condo!!

  • 5 of 5

It was a great condo. Served us very well. The beds were amazing and the water pressure was great to shower in after fun in the sun. Right on the beach with a great view any time of day.

Great spot

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this house for two weeks. I was joined by my brother for week one and my neighbors for week 2. All of us enjoyed the beautiful setting. It could not be nicer. Looking over the sound with the sun shining on it was a treat for the eyes. The house was neat and clean. We had plenty of room and privacy. I bone fished almost every day by walking north or south up and had opportunities at some very educated fish and caught several. My friends liked walking on the beach and trying to see how far out into the sound it was possible to wade at low tide. It is quite a way. Even though the kitchen was available we ate at Pete's Pub every day (about 25 minute drive). The fish dinners there are superb and I always enjoyed a couple Blasters if I wasn't driving that day. Judy and Rex, the caretakers who live a few doors up the street, were great. Especially after I locked the keys in the house! This is the real Bahamas, forget Nassau and Freeport, we met lots of nice people, both native and tourist. I would definitely stay there again.

So Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time here this past spring (2015)! Everything we needed to feel at home was right there at our finger tips. Morning walks on the white sandy beach, afternoon naps inside a hammock and star-gazing evenings were some of my highlights. My four kids (age 3-11) did not want to leave. We loved the spaciousness of the house and porch and the coziness of the home. The neighbors we met were very friendly as well. And yes, the starfish were plenty and huge. We had so much fun in this paradise!

Great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family (6 in total) spent a week here in June, 2015. It was amazing. Best vacation we have ever had. It had all the comforts of home, plus the greatest white-sand backyard view you could imagine. We can't wait to return. The water is crystal clear and totally calm. We found over 100 sand dollars and at least 20 giant starfish. The kids were in the water the entire time, constantly finding new " sea treasures", snorkeling, floating on the raft, and paddleboarding (rental company delivers right to the house). Watching the sun go down while sipping a cold drink was the perfect way to end the warm days. Its like your our private beach. If you want to relax, unwind and escape, this is the perfect place!
