Wonderful vacation at Tulemar
Family of 4 adults and 2 kids. Absolutely LOVED our stay at Tulemar. The concierge Frank helped with all of our needs and was very helpful and responsive! We saw so much wildlife just from balcony alone. The beach, pools and restaurant were fabulous!
Everything you could want in CR vacation home.
We saw every animal we could hope to see. Toucans, macaws, parrots, spider monkeys, capuchins (right on our balcony) and even sloths. Right there’s within reach of our deck. Incredible!! Place is beautiful and functional and in a fantastic location (in Quepos) casa 405. Our only complaint was the outdoor shower (which we loved the idea), the bathroom door should remain closed at night otherwise you end up with bats and other creepy crawlers in your bedroom. Not ideal! I would never stay in the same place for more than 4 nights as I like to move around and experience other places... but this place has changed my mind. I could stay here for weeks and be very happy. Hope to return next year.
We loved everything about Casa 405.
The resort itself was excellent for our family. The private beach was amazing and service was great down there and at the restaurant/bar. Our unit was well maintained and very clean. We spent every morning and night just sitting out on the balcony. We also used the chef services for a few nights and had an excellent experience with that. His food was top notch!
We travelled with our 4 and 7 year old
Fabulous place. Breathtaking views and wonderful service. People also very friendly and helpful.
The unit is in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by big trees and spectacular view. Nice private beach and swimming polls. The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable, I love the shower open to the jungle.
This is one of the loveliest places we have stayed on any vacation. Being nestled in the tree canopy watching monkeys, sloths, birds and all sorts of other wildlife scamper around you is amazing! The beds are comfortable, the outdoor showers are amazing (keep the lights on overnight so small fruit bats don't come to sleep there during the day), the kitchen was fully stocked with quality items for any type of meal preparation, wifi and AC worked fine. We had a driver, Marvin, take us to/from San Jose to the resort and he was fantastic. Very comfortable seating, safe driving, and info on Costa Rica. No need to rent a car at the resort unless you want to explore further areas of CR, as we could walk to several small markets for groceries, walk to restaurants and the on-site restaurant was excellent as well. All of our excursions picked us up/dropped us off right at our resort as well. Having so many friendly people around to give you recommendations for food or activities was wonderful. We did three very reasonably priced excursions and all were excellent: surfing lessons, ATV tour, and catamaran/snorkel excursion. The staff at the pool restaurant/bar took great care of all of their customers… Especially Lester, Manny, Chris and Daniela. I highly recommend the naturalist walk done by the Sloth Institute personnel, very informative and interesting. Julie with Green Coast Rentals made the registration process simple and easy. Frank, the concierge in Costa Rica, was willing to help provide any services that you needed. We did hire a personal chef one evening, Chef Tito, and he was entertaining, very reasonably priced and prepared an excellent meal for our family with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Agua Azul was our favorite offsite restaurant for a great casual dining experience (walking distance). And the wood oven pizza at the Wagon restaurant was worth the taxi ride to eat there. We had one pizza with Costa Rica fresh pineapple on it that was fantastic! We would love to go back and stay in Casa 405 again someday! If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax with your family and still have activities available close by, then this is absolutely one of the best places to go! Pura Vida!
