Wonderful Cottage close to Historic downtown

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home was in a great neighborhood great for walking and enjoying beautiful Victorian homes. The house was bright and airy and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds were to die for comfortable. Thanks for the nice bottle of wine and chocolates. What a pleasure! We will be back!

If I had to write this review in one word it would be, quite simply, "AMAZING"! From the moment you walk in, you know you've hit the jackpot. The house is beautifully designed and decorated with so many personal, thoughtful touches. This adorable cottage has everything you could possibly want and need and then some. It is spotlessly clean (many kudos to the cleaning staff!), spacious and so comfortable inside and out. The location is an easy walking distance to Prescott's charming downtown and the neighborhood is like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. We were fortunate enough to have over 8 inches of snow on Xmas Eve/Day which further enhanced the Norman Rockwell image. And if you get snowed in, this is the place you want to cozy and warm and welcoming.....we couldn't have been more pleased. We are VRBO believers and have had the good fortune to stay in some truly wonderful places and the Little Blue House ranks at the top of our list! Many thanks to you Rachel for your responsiveness throughout the process and the quick turnaround on the deposit. Prescott is a place we've fallen in love with and will return to and I know we will be looking up the LBH when we do!

Lovely, cozy, welcoming and very clean. Our only issue was roofers working on the property next door across from the side with bedrooms in this rental. It compromised our privacy, however, it shouldn't be a problem for others!

Owner's Response: Norine, I am so sorry that you had to endure the activity and noise from the next door roofing. Fortunately, it is a one-time occurrence. I would have let you know if I had known. Thank you for being wonderful guests!

Perfect home base

  • 5 of 5

The Little Blue House was the perfect home base for our family's first visit to northern AZ (4 adults). The home was so comfortable and beautifully decorated it was a challenge to get everyone out the door. Comfortable beds with great linens. It is on a wonderful tree-lined street of beautifully kept historic homes not far from Prescott's courthouse square. A little pond out back was a magnet for birds and ground squirrels. I would love to see the yard in full bloom. Rachel was super responsive to our initial inquiry and very helpful with recommendations and questions. Her personal touches made this a home by which others will be judged. I hope we weren't too spoiled! I recommend without reservation except I might be nervous about small children and the beautiful (a lot of white) furnishings. Also be aware that only one bath has a shower, although the gorgeous claw foot tub does have a spray attachment. I'm tucking this one away for another visit.

The Little Blue House -- What a Jewel!!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at several VRBO's in Prescott. We thoroughly enjoyed the first two, but the Little Blue House is by far our favorite. And even though the other two were closer to the Courthouse Square, the little bit farther distance to the Courthouse was well worth it! It is on a lovely street which was fun to walk up and down, especially this time of year with Halloween decorations appearing in the yards! The cottage itself is lovely! It is well-maintained, very nicely decorated, and it was immaculately clean. It was so cozy and comfortable, we did not want to leave it to explore Prescott. We did, however, and because of its central location, it was easy to go in any direction to hike, play golf, kayak, etc. It was very pleasant sitting in the backyard early in the morning with the warm sun coming through the trees, sipping coffee and listening to the fountain. In the afternoon the front porch was a comfortable place to be, reading, people-watching and enjoying the sun. With all of the windows -- while we were indoors, it felt like we were sitting outdoors with all of the beautiful trees and vines. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and hope to return again soon!
