There are two spacious bedrooms, both with four poster queen size beds, one furnished with cherrywoods, and the other in oak antiques, and has the original patterned wool carpet in excellent condition.

North Bend is a nice city of about 9700 residents, and is adjacent to the city limits of Coos Bay, which has about 16000 people. These are the two largest cities that make up what is referred to as Oregon's Bay Area. This home was built in 1923 by a prominent doctor and former mayor of North Bend who was instrumental in establishing the hospital there the same year.
This house is conveniently located on Hwy 101, just south of the historic, one mile long McCullough Bridge across Coos Bay, just as you enter the City of North Bend from the north. House is just a short distance from the arched neon sign reading 'Come Back/Welcome to North Bend,' across Highway 101.

My name is Neil, and I live in the Chico - Red Bluff area of Northern Ca. I have restored old homes since I was about 22 years old. I also worked 27 years for Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Red Bluff. I grew up in the motel business, as my parents ran a Best Western Motel in Red Bluff for l7 years. I have always liked homes of the 1920's and 1930's and when I saw this 'solid as a rock' example of 1923 architecture, I wanted this home. This has been my favorite project and if you love old homes, I think you will like this one.
The Owner purchased this bungalow in 2005
Living in the North Valley, the summers are really hot. I wanted a place to escape the valley heat and started looking in this area of Oregon. A bonus is the location of the Oregon Dunes less than three miles across Coos Bay. My kids and I enjoy being here and riding the dunes with our quads. Dunefest is usually celebrated in July.
If you like the unique charm of older homes restored as Bed and Breakfast Inns, you will enjoy your stay here. Some antiques and original glass china cabinets, so please use discretion with toddler age children for their safety.
Big bedrooms and family room. The owner was very helpful and made renting the property very easy. It's an older home with a lot of character. It is mostly refurbished. The bedrooms are very cozy.
This was a great place to stay. Beautiful old craftsman home with comfortable and beautiful furnishings that compliment the period and style of this house. Very clean and with all the ammenities of home. The beds we used were very comfy and the bedrooms are huge. The fireplace lent a nice ambience to the living room. If you are staying here with kids, you could play hide and seek forever with all the nooks and crannies throughout the house, full attic, and basement :) Neil made it all a very simple process to rent his house, which was an especially nice experience. We would definitely stay here again! Oh, and the icecream in the freezer was nice too!
Great home. Nice and clean and beautiful. Nicely located too. I highly recommend
I just spent seven days in this very charming, comfortable and lovely home! The house was immaculate and showed a lot of pride of ownership. Just behind the house is a large, beautiful park. We took our quads to the nearby dunes and had a wonderful time (very few people to contend with because it was the off season). Shopping and restaurants were close by and we especially enjoyed a large variety of antique shops. Don't miss Sunset Beach! I have told everyone I know that they have to go and experience firsthand this lovely vacation home and location.
Access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is less than three miles away. Riding quadrunners on the dunes is very popular on the Oregon Coast in designated areas.
