Our mountain home is in a quiet exclusive neighborhood in Highlands. You will enjoy the mountain views from Sagee Mountain, the hiking trails within steps of your front door, while still just 2 miles from the center of town with shopping, spas, fine dining and entertainment.
The 1BR/1BA Guest House on our property is the perfect mountain getaway for a couple or small family. You will think you are in a TreeHouse with 100 year old wood floors and large casement windows in the living room overlooking Mountain Laurel and Rhododendron. Like all BearAire properties, the TreeHouse is beautifully decorated and includes a Sleep Number Mattress, upgraded linens, TV/Internet access and complementary concierge services for dinner reservations, pet sitting, etc. from your BearAire hosts.
Also, come visit in the winter with no worries and enjoy the Aspen-like powder snow in the mountains of Highlands. The Treehouse has a generator and our city roads are paved when it snows.

We were married in Highlands and finally moved to Highlands from Atlanta in 2012. We are avid collectors of art and antiques, which is reflected in our home. As pet lovers, we are active in Pet Rescue, so pets are welcome. Please come and enjoy our home.

First time we did VRBO and had a wonderful stay. Mike was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. We can't wait to go back again.
This is a very nice place ! Upscale with great, comfortable furnishings, full kitchen, hardwood floors and direct tv. I would highly recommend this for your trip to Highlands. Mike and Victoria are very accommodating and gracious hosts! Very friendly folks who make you feel right at home!
My wife and I stayed in Highlands at the Treehouse for a quiet 25th Anniversary. Everything was perfect with the property and the hospitality of Mike and Victoria just added to the experience! We both travel a lot for work, so it is the "little things" that mean the most to us. This is a great location to visit Highlands, but secluded as well. Mike and Victoria both made us feel very welcome including recommendations for dinner, things to do, etc. If you are looking for a quiet and worry-free place in Highlands, this is a must!
Our hosts were great - gave us lots of suggestions for things to do and see. We had a great weekend and will hopefully go back!
My girlfriend (and her dog) and I took a trip up to Highlands to get away for our first anniversary. Victoria (who we unfortunately did not get to meet in person) was very professional and helpful in getting our reservation made. She also provided us with information on local restaurants. (We recommend On the Verandah for dinner). First off, the property is incredible. It is tucked away in the middle of beautiful forest, so it is very private and scenic. The room is above the garage and has plenty of space and nice amenities. (The Sleep Number Mattress is a very nice touch!) Mike greeted us (and the dog) and from the beginning he was nothing but the most gracious, accommodating host. He was very knowledgeable about Highlands and the surrounding areas, which was very helpful. He and Victoria even set out a fantastic bottle of Spanish wine for my girlfriend and I. Overall, we had a blast. I highly recommend staying here. Mike was that perfect balance of welcoming but not overbearing. We will definitely be returning here in the future.
Our expectations were exceeded by far. Mike and Victoria were excellent hosts. We were given great recommendations for restaurants and Mike even accommodated us by making reservations for us. The house was great and the fire pit made for a nice evening in the cool fall weather. We have already told many friends and family about our great stay and will definitely return. Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing our new friends on our next visit.
