Home away from home for our family of five

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the creekside cottage was wonderful. It was clean and cozy and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire ring and the bbq was great for grilling dinner. This is our second time staying here and we look forward to coming back every summer. Thank you Ed & Dawn for such a beautiful place to stay at on our summer family vacation's.

Family Vacation for Spring Break

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed at Creekside for a Sleeping Bear Dunes getaway. It was a last minute trip we planned to surprise our kids, 9 and 7. The guest house was clean, cozy and we were able to bring our dog. The upstairs living area was so welcoming. The kids had their own room that they shared and my husband and I were right next to them. We played a game of Monopoly that lasted the four days (the 9 year old beat us pretty good!). At night you could open the balcony door and hear Shetland creek. Very relaxing.

We cooked our own meals and ate at the dinning table. It was nice to have the kitchen and dining room close. The decor of the kitchen made us excited for the summer to come. The kitchen had all the kitchen tools needed for a home cooked meal.

There is a fire ring in the front and we had two fires at night for s'mores.

We would highly, highly recommend staying at Ed and Dawn's place for anyone who wants to go to the Dunes or just to get away.

Thank you for sharing your guest house with us!!!!

Great relaxing house, wish we could have stayed longer

  • 5 of 5

My two kids and I stayed at the guest house for 2 nights. We also brought our 2 dogs (a collie, and miniature collie). Ed was super easy to work with, very flexible, reliable communication as we traveled, etc. The guest house was extremely clean and we really liked the upstairs, where the kids and I could relax, have some quiet time reading, play some games, it was a very cozy comfortable room upstairs with a nice "vibe." Plus, the location was great, as our friends have a place nearby in Glen Arbor. We wish we could have stayed another couple nights, but they were already booked up. Loved the outside hiking trails and the peaceful woods around the house. It was a great place for the dogs and we made sure to leave it super clean (the way we found it). We would definitely stay there again!!!

Perfect Place for Your Up North Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My mom and I stayed her for our weekend getaway to this beautiful area. Creekside Cabin was the perfect place to stay (and bring my dog Emmi with!). The house is so orderly, clean, and a nice place to lay your head after a day of exploring and hiking the woods in Benzie and Leelanau County. The cabin is about 10 minutes away from Glen Arbor (which offers lots of restaurants and shops) and less than 25 from Empire, where the visitor center for the national lakeshore is. The cabin is right next to the Shetland creek which offers a peaceful place to stop, relax, and take in all the sights and sounds of the great outdoors! Bonus is that the stars at night right outside your front door are incredible!!!

Creekside Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The Creekside cabin was great! The property owners thought of everything you needed to enjoy your stay at their place. We especially liked the location between Glen Arbor and Leland. It was very easy to visit some of our favorite Leelanau peninsula spots from Creekside. The Creekside cabin was clean, comfortable and a perfect spot to come back to and relax after a day out. Also recommend Market 22 (delicious pizza) and Little Traverse Inn (great food and a cozy atmosphere) right down the road! We would definitely stay at Creekside again!

Creekside Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great and had everything you could possibly need. The space is great, comfortable, and was in a great location for touring the Leelanau Penninsula. We enjoyed a wine tour while in the area and would not hesitate to return and rent this cabin again!
