Amazing Location - Cannot Wait to Return!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and we absolutely cannot wait to return. The location of this condo could not have been any better. The view from the deck and rooftop patio is remarkable. When we weren't at the beach, we were in the infinity pool soaking up the view - amazing views everywhere in this complex! The condo itself is appropriately decorated and roomy (we had 4 adults and a baby) - the only downfall is the discomfort of the full-size bed in the room with the ocean view (sinks into the middle) and the kitchen could be just a little more well-stocked (broken knives, one warped frying pan, etc.) However, since we were enjoying the local restaurants every night, this wasn't too much of an issue for us. All of the recommendations made by the property manager were spot-on. We are so glad we chose to stay here because it was EXACTLY the trip we were dreaming of - low key, very few tourists on the cusp of off-season (May), incredibly nice locals, walking to sandy, swimmable beach, good eats, and endless exploring. Thank you for the hospitality and making our first (of many!) trips to this beautiful paradise a memorable one.

Great Condo

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Mark's Condo for three days. The location is great. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The Condo was very clean and looked just like the photos. The view was amazing from the balcony. We were there at the end of the busy time so it was very quite. Always had the pool to ourself in the afternoon. The walk to the beach was less that 5 min. If you love surfing or just like to watch Rincon is the place to go. The Wi Fi was great and so was the satellite tv. Important if you are traveling with teenagers! Checking in was a breeze after we found the place. A little tricky in the dark. We were lost and I called Mark's caretaker. I apologize I don't

remember Mark's care taker's name. He figured out where we were. Met us on the side of the mountain and drove us to the condo. Defiantly we be visiting Rincon again!

We stayed at Marks condo for a week. Just beautiful view ! His condo was very clean and very roomy for 4 people. You will not be disappointed. Neighbors (owners) were very friendly and helpful. We will be back ASAP. We were so impressed with the little piece of paradise we are talking about moving there. It was very relaxing and entertaining. The beaches are wonderful, watching the surfers, snorkling, shelling, or just walking the shore. Driving around Rincon is great , mom and pop shops. veggie stands, and various roadside eats, let alone resturants to have drinks and wonderful meals. Thank You Mark for the great place to stay.

should have stayed longer

  • 5 of 5

We have vacationed at various places on Puerto Rico a few times. My only regret as far staying at this place is that we should have stayed all three weeks at Mark’s condo that we were in Puerto Rico instead of just two weeks in February, 2014. It’s a great place, morning sun, great air on the hill (never used the AC), nice view and a 4 minute walk down to Sandy Beach where you can walk for miles, just swim or watch the surfing. This part of Rincon is north of the town center. Steep hills, great views and tight roads. Driving takes a day or two to get used to. Mark’s condo is comfortable, clean and efficient. Just what you want for relaxation. This neighborhood has no chain restaurants, no chain hotels and the highest building is 4 stories. Its low key, occupied by a population best described as a cross between younger surfers and aged, former Dead Heads who can only think about surfing. A nice, unpretentious mix. This is an English speaking area of the island unlike most areas outside of San Juan. So you don’t have to embarrass yourself, like I tend to do with my Spanglish.

The town center itself is 10 minutes away, south, by car. Two grocery stores, Alberts and Econoco (Route 115), have everything you need. Saturday morning is a farmers market in the square. Fresh fruits and local produce are at road side stands. K-Mart and all the chain stores are less than 30 minutes away in Mayaguez.

Restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the condo? Yes, and some really good ones. We didn’t get to all of them. A few sampled and appreciated are Ode to the Elephant, Pool Bar, and Saltaire, new at Casa Verde. The Pool Bar was visited more than once for salads and quality sushi and tempura (no, really!), and burgers. Check a web site for others. There are some good places within a 10 minute drive. Beverages on the upper deck at the Tamboo Inn on Sandy Beach are highly recommended. We watched whales breaching right off shore one day.

We would recommend a morning drive and take an hour or two, roundtrip, up route 412 from downtown to the cell towers. You can see for miles. Day trips? The Los Morrillos lighthouse and beach (in Cabo Rojo, a US Fish and Wildlife site) and salt flats and the dry forest in Guanica on the southwest corner of the island. Or not, and just enjoy the beaches down the hill from Mark’s place.

Mark was fantastic in responding to questions and helpful hints. Very professional.

The location was perfect, I loved the view. I would definitely stay here again. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice, clean comfortable place in Rincon that is close to everything. Owner was very helpful. I look forward to coming back soon!

This place ROCKS !!!! Right at Rincon's best beach... Just a short walk to Sandy Beach. The place was super clean and truly looked like the pictures posted. Very large inside and close to everything. Mark , the owner, was super helpful and actually returned my emails and calls. At the same time, providing useful info. Had a great time. Usually do not travel with a car but was glad I got one this time. Will surely stay here again. Thanks Mark .... for a real good time.
