Nestled in scenic Hellgate Canyon, our home offers a quiet, relaxing, laid-back location, yet is less than 5 minutes from the excitement of downtown Missoula. Our home is a beautifully restored log house with new carpeting, newly refinished hardwood and slate floors, fresh paint, and new landscaping. Guests who stay here in the summer and fall will enjoy fresh apricots from our two trees! We cater especially to outdoor enthusiasts and families with small children, providing two bikes, inner tubes for floating the river or sledding, a high chair, a pack-n-play, and a stroller. We also provide extensive maps and information for those looking to get out and explore the area’s various biking, hiking, and skiing trails, as well as information about unique local events, restaurants, etc. For those coming to cheer on the Griz or visit the University of Montana, we are a short drive or bike ride from campus. If you like to golf, Canyon River Golf Course (voted one the best new courses in the US by Golf Digest, 2007), is only one mile away. Care to try your hand at fishing? The renowned Clark Fork River is less than one mile away, and the Blackfoot River is only about 5 miles further down the road. Missoula is also home to the Rattlesnake Wilderness Recreation Area, an incredible system of hiking and biking trails, just minutes from the house. When you return from the day’s activities, fire up the gas BBQ grill, sit out back on the patio, watch the sun set on the mountains - there's a good chance you'll spot elk or mule deer!, and revel in a great vacation. We hope to hear from you soon!

What makes this House unique
The location of this property is amazing. It is close to everything. Downtown is less than 5 minutes away, but we are far enough out of town that we can enjoy quiet nights with bright stars. The freeway is close enough to hop on and be at the airport or Reserve Street in 10 minutes, but not so close that we hear 'freeway noise' at night. There are countless outdoor activities that one can do either right from the front door, or a short distance away. It truly is the best of both worlds.

Great Place !
Great home, we loved the downstairs playroom for the grandkids. The backyard was great for snowman building. We will be back. Thank you Britt!
Cute and cozy. Quick access to I-90 and easy to find. We felt welcomed and comfortable.
When traveling with our family, we look for a place that is safe, comfortable and welcoming. The description and pictures caught our eye and I am very happy that we stayed at the cabin. Britt was wonderful to work with and we felt like we had all the information needed to enjoy our stay. It was a great location for our holiday weekend. The entire trip was wonderful and having a cozy and welcoming place to make a family dinner, watch a movie and relax was exactly what I had hoped for. If we plan to stay in Missoula for a few nights again soon, we would definitely see if the cabin is available.
Diamond in the rough
Perfect place for a family of 4 to get away for a weekend. Will hopefully come back again soon. Great house with everything you need to cook and relax.
Cozy quiet getaway home
The house was perfect, it had everything we needed and the view was amazing. It is a great place to kick back and relax or go out on the town as it is very close to everything. Thank you Brit!!
So glad you enjoyed your time in Missoula, Kim, and that you were happy and comfortable at the house! Thanks so much for the 5-Star review, we truly appreciate your feedback.
Beautiful and very clean.
We arrived 2 days early and they went out of there way to get it ready for us, as there was someone leaving that day. Looks small from the outside but is very spacious. One bedroom up stairs, one on the main floor and one downstairs. The kitchen is well furnished with pots, pans and dishes. Had the best knives I have ever found in a rental, "sharp". It is close to shopping which was nice since we were there for a week. When we go to Missoula next time I hope it is available.
