Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved every minute of our week at your great place.

Made full use of surroundings—trip to top of Greylock, “On The Town” at Barrington theater, Berkshire Museum, Wachonah St. Diner for breakfast, Patrick's Pub @ Park Sq with cousins.

Hope we passed post-occupant inspection.

May we get in line for next year?

Regards, Jim

Perfect for a Big Family with Little Kids

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful and perfect spot for a week's vacation with the family. We had 10 adults and 5 kids (4 under 5 years old), and the house held us wonderfully. The bedroom setup worked out great with enough beds (+1 pull-out couch) for the grownups (5 couples) and a couple with enough room for pack n plays, a bunk room that 2 4-year-olds shared and could've been used for 4 kids had they been older, and even a cool nook of a room with two built-in twins that was perfect for a 13-year-old girl to escape the rest of our craziness.

The common spaces had plenty of seating for both hanging out and eating together, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware and dishes we needed. There are 3 separate TVs, so plenty of ways to split up different tastes, although we never had to use them. And I have to mention the very new looking and huge washer and dryer as they were very useful to have.

The property itself is amazing. The huge, flat yard between the house and the lake was just perfect for lots of running around and playing games. The small beach was great for the kids and has a nice gentle slope into the water. The kids loved jumping off the small dock, and we made frequent use of the kayaks and canoe for paddling around and even a little fishing. This particular area of the lake was particularly quiet and calm. There's a peninsula on one side offering lots of protection and the entire opposite coastline belongs to a park and a health center, so it's all trees with no development.

If you're looking for an easy lake vacation with family and friends, you'd be hard pressed to find something better.

Girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year renting this awesome home. Plenty of room for 7 girls. This home is amazing. Lots of beds and plenty of room for meals together and fellowship. Love the large living room for playing games and watching friends DVDs. Owner is friendly and super responsive to any need that may arise. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We rented this house for my cousin's graduation (more like my sister) @ Williams college. We were 10 adults & 4 kids. We fit perfectly in this house. We were able to have a dinner for my cousin & invite another family that lives close to there. The kids are teenagers & we did not have to leave for them to have a good time. We enjoyed canooing, kayaking. We had an awesome time. We want to do it again next year.

Very Nice - Excellent - Outstanding

  • 4 of 5

We rented this outstanding property the day after Christmas for a long weekend (10 Adults - ages 23 thru 54) and everyone loved the place. The property was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out and relax - the place has a great set-up for all the bedrooms - beds and linens are of very high quality. The kitchen has everything you need (we had some great meals and we had plenty of room to all eat together). The living room and sun room are great for hanging out and enjoying whatever activity you plan on doing (reading a good book- watching the big screen TV - playing cards or board games while enjoying a nice warm fire). Plenty of space to all hang together but the layout of the house allows for everyone to enjoy their own space if they are looking for some quiet time. Also this is a great location for doing multiple activities (running/walking/ice skating - if the weather cooperates skating on the lake would be awesome but there are 2 indoor rinks within 20 minutes if the lake is not frozen - skiing). Also place is very conveniently located to all area attractions. All in all a great winter weekend get away - would recommend this place for a family gathering of all ages. Looking forward to returning again.
