Why Libby Wittneben chose Atlantic Beach

This area has beautiful beaches with all nearby amenities. Atlantic Beach is located on the same island as Emerald Isle but does not have the crowds associated with that beach. This is a very family oriented location. Close to historic Beaufort that sponsors many festivals and events throughout the summer. Minutes from Morehead City that sponsors Big Rock Fishing Tournament and many other activities for families. Great restaurants and boutique shopping. Fishing lovers Mecca. Within 1 mile of historic Fort Macon and the Fort Macon National Park.

What makes this house unique

Many outdoor areas (Adirondack chairs, cushioned benches, swing) for rest and relaxation. Cooking is a breeze in the fully equipped kitchen. Children can ride bikes and play in the cul-de-sac and nice size yard.

Wonderful home, excellent location and everything you need

  • 5 of 5

My family and I recently stayed in this wonderful home. It is located in a small private community. The neighborhood is very quite, clean and peaceful. Just a short walk to the pool or beach. The home has everything you need and at a very, very fair price. We loved the living area being on the top floor. It has a huge open living room and dining room area. The large sectional furniture was perfect for that evening movie especially considering the excellent surround sound system. The porch that wraps half way around the two floors is also very nice for that early morning coffee or evening refreshment. We have six children and the neighborhood was very safe. We were more than comfortable with them being able to walk to the pool or the beach. The streets are also very good for biking or rollerblading. We highly recommend this retreat for families with children. One last point. Go to Morehead Waterfront and eat at the Ruddy Duck. Flounder is out of this world.

Great Vacation Value

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have rented this home for a week each of the last 4 years. Great location and property for children. House is at the end of gated street, therefore no through traffic. Adults can sit on the porch and watch kids riding bikes and playing with little concerns. Easy walk to beach. We also love the neighborhood pool, which is only a couple of houses down the street. Never a crowd at the pool and most of the time we have it to ourselves. Also, like riding bikes to Fort Macon., another great spot for the kids. We love the large covered decks on second and third level.

This home is a must stay!!! It has everything, we loved the early morings with coffee and porch swing on top deck . Watching the sun rise and set, you must see. The family room was just great for our large family to have plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is well supplied with everything you would possible need. We will be returning next summer!!!

Loved my stay in this beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my children and grandchildren and we enjoyed the wonderful amenities of this home. I am 79 years old and the walk to the beach is very short and easy. The home has a cart that made taking the children's toys and beach chairs to the beach a breeze. We spent afternoons at the pool, which has a graduated entry. I am an early riser and walked the beach every morning. The private beach access for the community made my walk to the beach easy and the beach was not crowded as Fort Macon National Park is close to this property.

The kitchen had everything you can imagine and we cooked almost all of our meals here.

The house was well maintained and clean and I found the owner helpful in answering questions about the property and surrounding area. They even made sure that a high chair was available for my youngest grandchild.

We did have one day of rain but took the kids to the Aquarium to keep them entertained. They loved the area where they could touch the starfish and horse-shoe crabs.

We will be returning to this home in the future as we loved our visit.
