Why The Owner chose Happy Valley

We fell in love with Fairhaven many years ago. The neighborhood has a European atmosphere with outdoor cafes, bookstores, courtyards, art galleries, local artists, quaint specialty shops and restaurants. It is truly one of the hidden gems of the Pacific Northwest!

What makes this house unique

Park your car and walk everywhere; whether it is coffee shops, antique stores, The Village Green, bookstore, restaurants, or the Bellingham Bay Trail. The best grocery store in Fairhaven is also only a couple of blocks away.

Charming and convenient

The house was charming and well supplied. We loved how conveniently it is located to the shops and restaurants of Fairhaven. A great place to stay when visiting our WWU student.

Perfect place to stay in Bellingham

  • 5 of 5

The Fairhaven Classic home is the perfect place to stay when visiting Bellingham. It is a neat older home, within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, the InterUrban Trails,... The fenced yard was great for our dog. We look forward to visiting again in the summer!

Charming and close to everything

  • 5 of 5

We had a small group stay for a wedding on Bellingham/Fairhaven and the property was close to it all. Check-in and communication with Amy was great. We were grateful for the kitchen, lots of extra blankets, a puzzle we enjoyed and even a nice yard to sit out in on a sunny day. Perfect for the weekend!

Cute, well-located older home -- very nice -- with attentive manager.

The title says it pretty well. The place is small, but big enough to fit in 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, nice eating space, and a living room. Yard is, indeed, fully fenced and our dogs loved running around. The pictures posted do pretty good justice. Being older, there are things -- like a couple chips in the ceramic sink, etc., but nothing that really matters. Everything works OK. There are some helpful pantry items to help if you're cooking in, and the kitchen's pretty well stocked with cooking stuff. The location is great -- not in the thick of downtown Fairhaven, but just an easy, short walk away. And the manager (Amy) is right on top of things, and looking to help.

A good place to stay. I imagine we'll be back. . .

A little gem in Fairhaven

  • 5 of 5

This is our 4th or 5th time staying at this lovely house and as always our stay was great. The house is conveniently located for Fairhaven, is well equipped and charming. It is clean, the wi-fi works great and has everything needed for a cosy stay.

Our family (elderly parents, sister, husband and I) were travelling to visit my mothers cousin in Bellingham.... we choose to stay at Fairhaven Classic, because it was located within walking distance to great shopping, good restaurants, historic buildings....and the house was adorable! It met all our needs, clean, comfortable, well stocked, in a safe neighbourhood, and charming. We were sad to leave after 2 nights, and hope we have the opportunity to return.

Favourite restaurants: Breakfast- Harris St Cafe, Lunch-Keenans, Supper-Skylarks, and Asian Bistro (delivery)

In the evening visit the boardwalk for sunset, moon rise,

Favourite shops: A Lot of Flowers, Chuckanut Gallery and Garden.

If traveling from Victoria? Washington State Ferry Sidney to Anacortes!

Thankyou Amy for all your help in making our stay a wonderful memory!
