About Lourdes

We spent a week on vacation in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. We just fell in love with the Smoky Mountains. We thought it would be nice to own a home here someday. And our dreams came true!!! We were blessed with this beautiful cabin, location and the serenity. Being from Florida we don't have Mountains to hike, or snow! My kids and myself saw snow for the first time in 2008!!! The Bear Foot Family Bill, Lulu and Kids...

Lourdes purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Lourdes chose East

The location of Bear Foot Cabin is just perfect! On a private dead end road where the kids can play with no worries. It is minutes from the main parkway! No location gets you closer to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and to the entrance of the Smoky Mountains National Park.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the quietness of the cabin and all that it has to offer! Along with the shopping, restaurant, shows, and attractions. Please enjoy this place as much as we do!

A Comfy Place in the Smokies

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recently stayed at Bear Foot Cabin. We wanted something close to Gatlinburg and the national park, but not too close. This place fit the bill. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The loft upstairs was a perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking and take in a few rounds of pool while doing the laundry. The hot tub was also a welcome addition. Even though the towns and park were crowded with tourists, we felt somewhat "remote" but very secure at the cabin. It has an alarm if guests chose to use it. Some portions of the road up to the cabin are steep and can be a little intimidating if you're from the flatlands like us, but they are manageable. Just remember to use your emergency brake. Lourdes, the owner, was very pleasant, extremely helpful and always available by phone. We're two active 50-somethings and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to use as your base of operations to visit the Smokies.

Honeymoon Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had such a amazing honeymoon getaway to bearfoot cabin! The owner is amazing and we look forward to going back again soon! The house in on a hill but, there is plenty of parking that way you don't feel comfortable on parking on a hill there is flat land! Other than the drive way the cabin was beautiful and clean. The pictures just doesn't do the cabin justice! Thank you for letting us stay we loved it!

Peaceful, secluded cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is nicely tucked away in the mountains. Perfect for a romantic getaway. My wife and I spent a wonderful week at this cabin. The cabin is perfect for two and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The driveway is VERY steep but the owner was so good about cautioning us about this before we booked. I agree with other guests the more you do it the easier it gets and 4 wheel drive is a must. Also park by the shed (back in ) this makes things a whole lot easier. We found the cabin very private and never felt we were on show. My wife and I were very lucky one morning to be visited by two black bears. To see bears this up close and personal was really something. They didn't even seem to mind that we were snapping photos from the porch. One actually stopped and posed for me. LOL. The cabin is decorated very nicely and you very quickly feel at home. We enjoyed several evenings sitting on the porch listening to the crickets. It was SO peaceful and tranquil and a nice change from our hectic life back home. The cabin is also nicely situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where you will find all kinds of things to do. Nature trails, shopping, distilleries, wineries, restaurants etc. If you happen to book in the fall and have the time drive to Biltmore Estate. Biltmore is located in Asheville, NC. The drive through the back roads were breathtaking. Lourdes thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cabin we hope to come back one day.

Great Getaway!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was wonderful for a weekend getaway for my husband's birthday! It was in a wonderful location, as it was in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, which made getting to both very convenient! As far as getting to the house, definitely plan to arrive during the day time! The roads up to the cabin are quite steep and getting in and out of the driveway takes a little bit of figuring it out and finding what works best. After we had driven the roads two or three times and found the best way to place our car in the steep driveway, everything was fine and easy from there! I just definitely recommend arriving during the day so that it will be easy to navigate the roads and steep driveway. The cabin itself was very nice! There's a great king bed and the bedroom and bathroom were plenty big for a weekend stay. The living room had two couches and a nice fireplace, with a tv and kitchen all in one space. It is the perfect amount of space for two people! We did not use the hot tub, but the one outside definitely isn't private, as there is a house right above this cabin. The pool table upstairs was so nice to be able to use after a long day exploring Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! I would definitely recommend this house if you're looking for a getaway!

Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This is a great cabin for a weekend stay in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. It is conveniently located between both towns and is about a 15 minute drive to each.

Lourdes is difficult to get a hold of and we played phone tag a lot but eventually got everything worked out.

The cabin is clean and perfect for two people. However, the hot tub is not very private. The driveway is very steep but several parking options are available. We would recommend this cabin for a secluded weekend away!

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Everything you need. Great location (15 minutes from most anything you'd want to do). Pool table and indoor jacuzzi are a treat. Enjoyed working with the host. Definitely recommend. The only think to note is that there are steep roads leading to the cabin, make sure you bring a vehicle that can handle it!
