Why Judith Romanowski chose Cape Cod

I've been coming to Provincetown for years every summer with my kids and friends. It's a great family place, a great place to have fun with friends, or to just spend some quality time along. The location of Provincetown is beautiful in itself, surrounded by dunes, the bay, and the ocean. Provincetown is a unique, vibrant community with endless things to do. I purchased this property because of the central location. Most times I come here, I park my car and never have to drive anywhere until I leave. This property is literally right in the middle of everything. The cottage itself is charming, cheerful and cozy.

What makes this cottage unique

Cathedral ceiling gives the cottage a larger, more open and brighter feel, with many windows bringing in fresh cape air and sunshine. But the best part by far is the large hammock outside.

Adorable little cottage steps away from eating, drinking and shopping

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy Provincetown cottage. It's a standalone unit, in the backyard of the main house. The location is incredible, on a quiet side street just off of Commercial Street where you'll find all the seafood and Cape Cod t-shirts that you're looking for. Its a bit of a hike to the beach, but there is a bike rental spot a couple blocks from the house. And the hammock in the yard is quite possibly the most comfortable I have ever been in.

My husband and I stayed at Judith's beautiful cottage. It was clean, well appointed, cozy and very comfortable. Although it is less than a block from lively Commercial St., it is a peaceful place to retreat. We enjoyed the privacy of our own place with everything we needed at the cottage. Once we settled in we never used our car...we walked to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, galleries and more galleries and biked to the beautiful beaches and sand dunes. The price is a bargain for the immaculate space, privacy, and capacity to prepare meals in the kitchen space. We will definitely return!

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!

I have been to Ptown many times and have stayed in cottages, B&B's, hotels, guest houses, and this was the best of the lot, also making for the best visit yet. The owner is remarkably generous, fun to correspond with and she wants you to have a great time as much as you want to. The place is cozy-small (NOT cramped-small), with everything you need for a place to comfortably bunk and enough extras to tempt you want to stay indoors and "play house." The cottage is literally 200 paces to the pool at the Boatslip (I counted) and convenient to everything else. Two markets with great coffee on the corner, bike rental at the head of Conant at Bradford and just everything you'd want. The bed was comfy and the living room sofa was great for a rainy afternoon nap. If I had to provide one caveat, I'd say that if you are looking for COMPLETE solitude and privacy, you are adjacent to the main house. I was fortunate in that the group staying there was friendly and fun but they did use the shared yard a lot so if you don't want your comings and goings monitored, keep that in mind. Otherwise, just being half a block between Commercial and Bradford was surprisingly quiet and tranquil. Also close enough to everything that you could run "home" after a bike ride or to grab a sweater after dinner or just about anything. The inside has been freshly upgraded with raised ceilings that gave you the feeling of so much space and wooden floors that were easy to maintain between visits from the housekeeper. The one afternoon I needed the air conditioner, it did a fine job cooling off, otherwise the cross breezes and ceiling fans were plenty. I have to admit, I don't want to write too much more in case I can't get back in for next year, but the owner is such a doll, I'll risk that so that others can enjoy this little gem. My friend and I go up to PTown in the early fall, usually September, just for R&R. We just eat, shop, walk down Commercial St a hundred times and sleep a lot. This place, which is clean, cozy and reasonably priced, provided the perfect little base for our vacation. It's location is perfect: in a very quiet neighborhood but Commercial St. is only a block away. It was well stocked with thoughtful amenities too. would highly recommend this cottage for couples, good friends or for someone who wants to get away by themselves.

Perfect Cottage for 2!

  • 5 of 5

As a previous visitor of P-Town, and staying in everything from large houses to hotel-hopping, this was a great find on HomeAway and amazing location for myself and another guest. It was a great price and exactly what we were looking for our between Commercial and Bradford; couldn't have wished for a better location. Judith was extremely accommodating and great to work with during this last Labor Day weekend. I'd highly recommend and come back in a heartbeat!

We were in PTown for Bear Week, July 2011. This cottage was AWESOME and the description provided was completely accurate. I found the cottage to be clean and comfortable and will definitely choose this property on my next visit. The location is beyond perfect and working with Judith (owner) could not have been more pleasant. THANK YOU JUDITH for everything!!!! Can’t wait for next year!
