The old village area of Mt pleasant is like stepping back in time. Sidewalks that lead to the harbor and the Pitt Street Bridge. Kids riding their bikes, moms pushing carriages, skate boarding, all this is what you see setting in your living room looking out the front window. It like a window to the neighborhood. It is quiet and safe. At the rear of the unit we have a screened in porch and secret garden with goldfish pond and fountain.

We have swimming, tennis, basketball in the neighborhood. Places to walk like the harbor, Pitt Street Bridge and watch the sunset over the harbor. It is breath taking. The old village on Pitt Street has a bakery, a real old time soda fountain in the Pitt Street Pharmacy. The post house offers fine dining. Go a little farther you are at Shem Creek. One of the few places you can set and watch the dolphins play, while enjoying great food and drinks. It is a real special place even if you wish to just rest after a long day of sightseeing downtown or the beach.

About Kathy VAN VALKENBURGH

We actually lived in this unit for 15 years. My husband and I bought a house. I love this townhouse I really miss it. So now I have both, when not rented I can still enjoy the old village. We are just average working couple trying to secure our retirement that is coming fast. We have furnished the townhouse in a peaceful serene and homey way to accommodate our families when they come too.

THE BROWNIES AND WINE WAITING FOR US WHEN WE WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR WERE A WELCOME TREAT! THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND WE HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE WEEK. Wonderful

This is a great place to stay! We loved the fresh cookies and wine when we walked into the rental property, especially after a long drive. Everything you could think of was provided by the owners which we really appreciated. The property was close to Charleston and a 10-minute drive to Sullivan's Island. We will definitely consider this property again!

Fantastic visit!

We had a lovely family getaway, this was a great location.

Kathy was super responsive with all of my questions. The first night I actually ended up locking us out of the condo, and despite the midnight call, she got back to me immediately to help us back in. (I was in complete panic mode as I had a sleeping 5 year old and a 2 month old...thank you soooo much!)

The condo is cute and well stocked with general necessities. My husband and I slept in what I assume is the guest room because the bed was so comfortable.

The bottle of wine and homemade cookies (that my 5 year annihilated) were the cherry on top! Thank you for a great stay.

Super comfortable, sell-equipped, pleasantly decorated, close to Spoleto events

Kathy was prompt and helpful. We were greeted with homemade cookies and wine. Very comfortable beds and other furniture. Very quiet area yet close to stores and main road to old Charleston. Hope to return!

Nice Place, Convenient Location

Overall, this was a great rental. It was very convenient to both Charleston and the beaches.. The neighborhood was wonderful for riding bikes, with restaurants and stores nearby. We also easily visited Boone Hall Plantation from here. The townhouse is older and could use some updates, but it was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We even met one of the neighbors while using the community pool one day.

Perfect location, clean, safe and wonderful owners

I rented this townhome for my 2 children, their spouses and my grandchildren who were visiting for graduation! It is in a safe neighborhood and right down the street from the road headed out to Sullivan's Island beach, as well as restaurants and walking distance to Pitt Street Bridge. The pool was clean and nice and there was a small park for the kids. The home was very clean and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and home made chocolate chip cookies!!! :) It was clean and had plenty of supplies like a portable crib, blankets and even food and coffee etc. The outdoor patio space had a cute table and grill and there was a washer and dryer which is awesome to be able to leave with clean clothes. We saw beach mats and chairs and so many other little touches. Kathy was a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat and she was so kind and added so many personal touches it made me want to own my own vacation rental. Thanks so much!!!!!

Great condo in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving. The condo was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed.

The customer service from Kathy during the process was very good and the pumpkin pie and wine were nice touches upon our arrival. I appreciate how responsive Kathy was during our booking process.

The condo is in a great location to Charleston and Sullivan's Island. And the Pitt Street bridge was a favorite during our visit. We tried several new restaurants including The Mustard Seed and Callie's Hot Little Biscuits...both were amazing new finds for our family.

We will definitely return to this property!
