Our 1904 house has been fully remodeled into a warm and inviting home for your short or long-term stay. Located near the heart of Capitol Hill, just 3 blocks from the Light Rail station and Cal Anderson park and walking distance to Volunteer Park, we provide 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms in a dog-friendly environment. We have a large glass-sided sunny bedroom with a new high-end Casper king-sized brass bed, conveniently located with one bath on the main floor. This bedroom is also equipped with room-darkening up/down shades and a ceiling fan. Upstairs are another large bedroom with king-size Tempurpedic bed, child's bedroom with twin beds (2 beds) and a 5-piece bathroom (including glass shower) that features the original claw-footed bathtub (completely renovated, of course). Both upstairs bedrooms also have ceiling fans. A fully equipped, large kitchen with commercial-style gas range, and dining room for 6 will enable you to host small dinner parties. Downstairs is a newly created entertainment rec room with TV and surround sound, wet bar, electric fireplace, and full laundry. Relax in wicker chairs on our front porch or in our charming "Charleston style" side garden. Unlike many Seattle homes, our house has central air conditioning and a heat pump. While this is an urban home, we have added special noise-reducing window inserts and custom window treatments to minimize city noise. Each bedroom/sleeping area has a variable speed ceiling fan, as well.

This is a 1904 house that has steep stairs between the floors and from the ground level to the front door. Generally not appropriate for very small children and anyone with limited mobility.

Very convenient and great for a family

Our family of five including two teenagers and one adult child stayed here for a long weekend. It was a great location, easily walkable to many restaurants, a grocery store, and light rail station while also only a very short drive to downtown Seattle. House had everything we needed and the air conditioning was a major plus since it was quite warm while we were there. The basement area was a very nice bonus as it gave the kids a place of their own.

What a find! Great house, great location, free parking! Light rail two blocks away! Can't go wrong!

We had a fantastic experience at this wonderfully restored gem of a house in the middle of the action on Capital Hill. We actually walked to Pike Place Market (30 minutes- 1.6 miles)- of course we needed the walks after enjoying all the fantastic restaurants (Smith, Rione XII, and Momiji were all fantastic!) within a few blocks of the house. We took the Light Rail to watch a Mariners game- 5 stops, 12 minutes! Couldn't be an easier way to enjoy the game- and Safeco is one of the best ballparks we've ever visited. This wonderful home is comfortable and well equipped in the kitchen (thanks for the wonderful coffee!) and audio-visually. If you rented a car like us, no hassle to park with the off street parking in front of the garage. You can't go wrong with this place!

Great Place to Stay!

My family and I came to Seattle for a family trip and we were wanting a place close to the places we wanted to see. The house fit our family of 5 perfectly. We loved the layout and the old style feel but with the newer amenities. Any minor questions we had, the owner was on top of it and responded to us quickly. The house is close to public transportation which we used daily rather than fight the traffic and parking. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Perfect family stay in Seattle

We had a great family stay here over the Memorial weekend. Wonderful house, great amenities, super clean. Easy walking distance to Capitol Hill restaurants, grocery, Link rail station. Betty was super to work with, excellent communications, and all arrangements worked out perfectly. We definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit to Seattle.
